Hard to say. He played like a franchise QB last year though. Depends what Atlanta and Carolina do from here on out.

I was going to say something. That's never happened. The most games Colston has missed in a season was 5, but they sure didn't go to the playoffs.

Well Colston is always hurt now and Moore was hurt too. Last year we played with Meachem, Stills, Toon, Graham for a lot of the season.

Brady's top guy Amendola only missed 5 games last year. He had his top guys the majority of year.

I'd argue that Edelman is their top receiver which sort of speaks volumes in itself. Add to that Gronk missed 9 games. I'll take Brees's receivers last year.

And they had the softest defense in professional football last year. But yeah, people like to forget football is a team sport when it comes to quarterbacks.

Ryan is not a top 10 QB. Stating otherwise is ridiculous.

Threw for 4500 yds at a 67% clip with the aforementioned problems with their offense. I'd probably agree he wasn't a top 10 QB this year but on a yearly basis he certainly is.

Probably need to curb the hatred for the guy when trying to make a case one way or the other.

You're arguing with a bitter Michael Vick fan. Don't bother.

So you're saying Marques Colston is a crappy wideout and the product of his QB like Julian Edelman or something? Brees' top guys and Brady's top guys are obviously not equal.

I hate you for making me defend the indefensible Tom Brady, god damn it.

Colston missed one game last season. Jimmy Graham missed zero. Lance Moore missed a whopping three (so what? Brees liked him as a target for like one year of his career, anyway). Poor Drew Brees, living the charmed life in New Orleans.

Stahp.

Amendola/Edelman>>>> Colston/Moore especially seeing we just cut Moore.

Shhh, no. You have to marvel at Drew Brees bravely managing to get into the playoffs despite having crappy receivers like Jimmy Graham, Darren Sproles, and Marques Colston all year. They were practically holding open tryouts at the local flag football league.

You do realize that prior to 2013 Moore/Colston had 10 collective seasons that were better than anything Edelman/Amendola had ever done prior right?

I don't think this is factual at all. Colston just appears head and shoulders above everyone else, but the other three have minor production in comparison, very similar.

This whole Emmanuel Sanders thing makes me laugh.

So NFL execs and coaches can call up players @ the draft and say they are going to select them if they are their, only to pass on them. Yet when the tables are revered it's a huge deal?

Build a bridge, get over it.

Ugh. Brees threw for 5000+ yards and led the top scoring offense in a year where Colston had 760 yards, and the other 3 leading receivers were Lance Moore, Devery Henderson, and Billy Miller. Lets see what Lance Moore does with no Brees, because the other two have disappeared.

Brady led the league in scoring with Edelman firmly planted on the bench because he's not a very good receiver. This has nothing to do with Brees or the Saints in general, just Bert's absurd suggestion that the short & slow Amendola/Edelman are better than Colston/Moore.
