Now get Colt McCoy some legitimate receivers and Cleveland may be on to something

The Browns are coming along slowly but surely. I like their offense a lot.

7/$84 for Thomas and 8/$120 for Fitz. Is Fitz that much more of a difference maker?
I'm not saying Fitz was overpaid, but I would think that makes this seem like an even better deal. Maybe I'm way off, but that's just my knee-jerk reaction.

He should have held out for 8/121.

At least I know he is going to probably see the end of that contract.

He'd only be 34 when his contract ends.

I remember hearing it on the radio. When they said it was for 7 years without announcing the amount, I thought it was probably for something like $84 million. Sure as heck, I was right.

Normally when I see this kind of deal I feel like the team overpaid. Not in this case though. Thomas is hands down the best LT in the league and fully deserves this. Also, I'm just happy seeing vets getting their big payday instead of some undeserving rookie.

Colt McCoy will be hoisting the Lombardi Trophy some time in the next 6 years and Joe Thomas will be the one keeping his pants clean.
So it was a pretty good extension.

Quite a few players getting paid this offseason. I'm happy for Thomas, he seems like a genuinely humble guy, and his play absolutely warranted a new deal.

As a Browns fan, I'm absolutely thrilled with the length and price of this extension. It was important that Thomas got locked up before got a chance to test the market. Who knows what kind of bidding war would've ensued in that situation? Also imagine the front offices of Denver and Miami are pleased with this benchmark deal. It's very reasonable for such a premium position.

Overrated, overpaid. This is why bad franchises stay bad.
