So impressed with BSU. Wow. I've not been a fan, and I know Georgia pretty much sucks now, but damn, they look good. Big, fast, well coached.
Georgia was foolish for playing that game indoors (I know it's all about this ticket revenue, but still). That humidity would have killed Boise players.
Oregon always seems to "come out flat" against above average defenses.
That has something to do with it for sure. The question as to if they'll be able to take it to a team with speed on defense isn't answered at all. But it didn't look like they were dominated physically tonight or anything like that. Rhythm was a big problem.

Rhythm was a problem because their lines were dominated. LSU ran all over them. When Oregon was stacking the box. And LSU's D was in the backfield all night.
I want to see what Oregon would look like with a USC caliber O and D line. I think it would be scary.

No matter how dominating LSU was, it's always gonna be "insert team here came out flat". Never get the credit they deserve. They flat out dominated Oregon, but they played flat. The turnovers were their own fault right? LSU didn't cause those turnovers? LSU didnt run all over that pathetic defense they have? That up tempo game must have thrown Oregon off I guess. Flat I tell you, flat.

He likes to hate on Oregon calm down.

I'm not a fan of the type of game Oregon plays. I'm glad LSU won (dominated). They outplayed them in every facet to be honest, although i'm not sold on their passing game.

They've always been fast and well-coached, but they've been getting bigger each year. This could finally be the year they get to the title game.
How good Boise is really has no bearing on them getting into the title game. All depends on if there are 2 undefeated teams from BCS conferences left at the end of the year. If not, Boise can get it. If there is, they won't get in, no matter how good they are.
They can go undefeated and dominate their whole schedule, but an undefeated team from SEC, Big 12, Pac 12, ACC, or Big 12 will always be higher. At least they're in a conference better than the Big Easy though.

I think a one loss team from those conferences might get in too. Except for the ACC of course.
Boise would need for Georgia to kick ass the rest of the year, and they might need a few 2 loss teams at the top. It would also help if LSU, Oklahoma and Alabama all had catastrophic losses to go with it (4 win teams). The Pac 12 and the Big XII (-2) don't look as strong this year.

I dont think there is enough there with that schedule of theirs to make it in no matter what. One loss teams from several of the bigger conferances are going to get the nod. Boise did ok by scheduling Georgia but they'd have to add at least one powerhouse on top of that to get serious recognition and they didnt.
In a playoff format they could make it to the title game but i dont see how they do it now even though Brent and Herbie seemed to be in disagreement with that.
I went through just about every emotion a fan could go through last night. Way too nerve racking for the first game. Which should have been a gimme.
This upcoming Georgia game should be interesting. I could certainly see SCAR beating them easily, if they dont **** the bed so much, like they did against ECU.
Big thing for me, will be our pass rush vs Aaron Murray. If we dont get after him, we may have some problems, with that vanilla ass coverage we were running.
At least this QB business is settled now. Garcia should have always been the man. Shaw had a great camp, but Garcia is proven and battle tested. Shaw folded against ECU. I'd hate to know what would have happened if that was one of the SEC's power teams. Shaw's time will come. I love his ability, he'll probably be better than Garcia in the long run, but this is Garcia's team right now...and he showed that tonight. He gives us the best chance to win.

How was Clowney?
Boise State's D-Line dominated Georgia's O-Line the entire game while being undersized.
LSU's inability to pull a top tier QB prospect is hilarious. They have some talent on the roster now, but with all the pieces they have, seemingly every year, it seems like QBs would be lining up to play behind a great line, with a great running game, and a plethora of receivers, buoyed by a great defense.
Maybe it's Les Miles.

They won 2 NCs with sub-par QBs. Just saying. It would be nice and everything but obviously not a requirement to win a title. Trevon Randle is supposed to be pretty good though.
