I've never had a problem with it, you throw a silencer on it and it's godlike. I've never had an accuracy issue with it; if anything you learn to play with the kick

I'm telling you, it's not the same Ak you've been using in the other Cod games. I've been running it with it since I got it, it's certainly serviceable but they made it weaker compared to other Cod games.

I'm not a gun nut or anything, but it bugs me that they still call it the AK-47. The 47 has been out of production since the 70s.

its nice that you can buy riot shield squads to help out in survival. 3 guys each, so with 2 people playing its 8 friendlies vs wave.

I haven't used them. I still have 3 left, I only used one. But just to make sure I understand, it keeps the AK through all my prestiges in the game? Not just the first one, or first two?


But yes, this is the reason I kept those, wasn't sure if I would get anymore or how to earn them but if this is the case I'm definately using it for the AK.

I wouldn't know all that well either having not unlocked it, but I have about 25 kills with it thus far(people in my lobby who run it and drop it, or enemies dropping it I always make sure to stop and get an AK lying around) and it seemed just as strong to me, if not stronger.


I used it more so with a silencer and I was pretty amazed at how fast enemies fell. I used that gun 96% of the time on BLOPS and with a silencer the power was nerfed quite a bit IMO. For that reason I always used ext mags as my only attachment.


The AK always does seem to have the same type of kick pattern though so I don't see myself using the kick perk which I do love on most guns. I've just grown accustomed to it, so shooting through objects without bullet drop off suits me better and makes me feel like it has more power.


I'm just about to unlock the ACR tonight most likely, and it took me all 50 levels to get the gold camo for my M4. So I know I'll have the AK for a long time, but the ACR should be fun for those 18 levels in between.

Got this game sometime last week, have played enough to know the maps pretty well, up to level 60ish, and now I'm beginning to consistently get a K/D around and over 1, and my highest kill streak is 11 so far. YAAAAY me.

Edit: If any of you fools feel like playing on PS3's network, send a friend thing to urfquake17, I won't singlehandedly win your team games, but I won't blow it for you either, and on occasion, I'll rip off a damn good game

I used my Prestige Token on Double Weapon XP just to get there quicker. I now have a sexy gold UMP45.

Haha aight, I thought it might be like N64's 007 where the gold gun was a one hit kill.
Doesn't the gold gun make you easier to spot though? Or am i over thinking this?

I unlocked the AK47 earlier tonight and i've been using it.. so far, i like it a lot. Seems like it kicks a little more if you add a RDS (maybe as an homage to cod4?) but i raped with it naked, and silenced it's pretty good as well. I'm now debating whether to keep the AK or the ACR once it's time to prestige. Decisions, decisions.

That's my opinion on it, lol, but I can't say I've ever looked around, spotted the tiniest sliver of gold and used that to kill someone, so who knows, really, once I've gotten to level 30 on the the guns I won't give a crap, honestly, since it isn't useful. I'll get the with the UMP within a few rounds, and I'm close with the SCAR as well.

When you keep a weapon, do you keep the upgrades and everything too?

I just finished the Campaign today. Pretty enjoyable but nothing mind blowing. Playing on veteran is the way to go though. I think I finished it in about 8-9 hours and it would have been even quicker if I played it on a lower difficulty. Now I just need to get all the Intel.

Edit: My counter actually says about 10:41.

No, attachments and all that reset when you prestige. All you keep is the ability to use the gun.

I'm trying to get into the LMG's.. but they're sooooooo damn slow.

Someone recommended a LMG with Speed/Grip/Sleight of Hand/Quickdraw/Stalker, because of the large magazine and good damage, but I don't know if I can keep using the LMG until Level 21 for Speed.. it's tough.

Haha I thought I was the only one who noticed. I was like holy **** how long have I been on level 30? It was nuts.


But like WMD said about using the prestige token for it, if I had any clue how long it would have took I would have. I didn't want to waste it on something I was so close on when I only have 3. I'd rather use it for the AK once I first unlock it and get full use out of it.

Boo at the LMG's. I wanted the RPD back so bad :( I love new guns but I miss that and the AUG. They could have thrown those two in the LMG class and made it alot stronger as a whole.
