So now that Mike got the job, I can say these two things:

1) I was an assistant coach for my nephew's high school team. On that team: a current NFL starter and a current CFL starter. A famous pro wrestler tried out, but didn't get past the first cut.

2) I played high school baseball and football with an NFL head coach.

I feel old.

No, I'm not arguing that they're bad coaches. I don't have a way of knowing that.

I'm just arguing that they don't matter one bit to the Broncos' success whether they're good or bad. You know, replace them with anyone and Denver still goes to the playoffs as long as Peyton's healthy.

Who holds Lazor in high regard? He had one season where he coached Chip Kelly's QBs that put up big numbers but other than that his resume is very ehhhh. Once again the Dolphins can't get a top candidate because every smart coach stays away from that dysfunctional franchise.

Yeah Peyton is great, it just seems like a pretty good accomplishment for Gase in his first year of OC to be on a team that puts up the best numbers of all time.

Titans interested in Jason Michael as OC and Ray Horton or Kieth Butler as DC

Great hire for the Vikings, if they can land Norv Turner that would be perfect. I'm not sure whats going on in Cleveland, it seems like every coaching candidate is removing his name from the job.

The only thing that could help Cleveland is if they go up to Cowher, give him $20m a year and full control. Maybe that or something major like that. No one wants to go to the Browns. No QB, no RB and management that appears worse than those who were before them.

Must admit im surprised that Whisenhunt didnt go to the Lions. I would have picked the Lions over the Titans and the extra $4m. At least they have a franchise QB.

A lot of 49er fans seem to think that we will end up with "offensive coach x" who they have goo goo eyes for, and magically the play calling and offensive woes we suffered at times will just go right out the window. IMHO the system and philosophy won't really change much with Roman gone, if at all.

There is a whole lot of blame being thrown at Roman for the offense, almost all of it falls on his shoulders according to a large portion of the fanbase. The reality is Harbaugh is also at fault for offensive problems, this is his team and he deserves to shoulder blame here as well, and I do acknowledge that yes, Roman definitely eats a portion of the blame. But offensive struggles also don't fall squarely on coaching either, as execution by the players also factors in to an offenses success. I am just tired of Roman being the lone scapegoat for 49er fans meanwhile Harbaugh seemingly does little to nothing wrong beyond his tantrum throwing.

(Don't get me wrong, I love Harbaugh and wouldn't want anyone else coaching this team...and might I add he does the finest pirouette I have ever seen)

It really bothers me Zim is getting his shot in Minny not in Cincy. That job should have been his after 2010.

I'm glad someone is finally giving him his shot and I hope he does well. That team will have a completely different attitude now.

Bowles and McDaniels did and that's most likely because they weren't the Browns first option... It's been seemingly Gase from the beginning that they are enamored with. If he turns us down then it will be pretty funny.

The Bengals have already named LB coach Paul Guenther as DC.

If it was him, you'd probably know it given how frequently people post CM Punk gifs on this forum.

Looks exactly nothing like he did in High School, but it's definitely him. His picture with the "CM Punk" name is in the display case with everyone else's who went on to be something.

I only knew him as Phil.

Yeah, they're going to regret firing him. Just look at all the interest he got from other teams once he hit the open market.
