I've heard that Spags and Reid were going to meet as well.
I was thinking of what would happen if the Saints hired Nolan and changed to a 3-4.
Cam Jordan - Abrayou Franklin - Sed Ellis
Junior Gallette - ? - ? - Will Smith?
Outside of the front 3, the Saints don't have the backers to make the move and Smith standing up is questionable.

Vilma wouldn't really fit for Spags either. He always had a "thumper" at MLB who could blitz or help stand up to the run when others are sent to blitz.

Didn't Vilma suck in the 3-4 back in NY with Mangini?

That's why I'm thinking Del Rio is the best fit for NOLA considering their personnel

He did and he wasn't good in the 3-4 in NY and hates playing in that scheme. That's why the Jets traded him.

Well Nolan has experience in the 4-3 as well...a move to the 3-4 wouldnt be guaranteed.

Schotty will take the Rams OC job pending contract
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d...headline_stack
Brian Schottenheimer has been offered the St. Louis Rams' offensive coordinator job and will accept the position on new coach Jeff Fisher's staff, a league source said Sunday night.
As a rival fan, I'm glad they're hiring Schotty instead of Hue Jackson or Tom Clements.

I think Vilma would be fine in a 3-4 with great play from an NT.
Martez Wilson can play OLB or ILB in a 3-4 scheme IMO, he is pretty impressive as a blitzer, even in a 4-3.
I'd prefer to stick with the 4-3 though.

I loved Bradford as a prospect now this could be the end with Schotty as the OC. If Jeff Fisher is anything like he was in Tennessee they are not signing or drafting any big time WRs. Look for more 3rd-5th WR's drafted hoping one of them becomes Bradford #1 WR. The rams are used to that though. Their is a small chance they draft a WR though we did draft Britt and Dyson but I know they are not signing any #1 WR unless they are their last legs like Eric Moulds and Yancey Thigpen or try to make WRs like Justin Gage our #1.

It's better than bringing Randy Moss off the bench to .........run block. Fisher did that as well.

Include some printed off pages of a Madden playbook too. Can't be much worse than what some of these coaches are apparently doing.

Interesting. Zimmer is the first candidate to interview at One Buc Place. Tampa conducted interviews and met with candidates in Houston. (Same weekend Cincy was in Houston).
Makes me wonder if they have spoken to him unofficially a few teams before today.
I hope the Glazers do not let him leave Tampa today.

If we lose Zimmer, we have to act immediately in finding his replacement.
IMO the best bet is Del Rio.

Yes. Constantly. Think about how many people think they can sing. This country is full of non-talented people who think they are special.
I saw a Steve Sabol special a while ago interviewing Jon Gruden when he was coach of the Bucs and there were countless people who had applied to be his offensive coordinator with absolutely no football experience. Many of them touted their abilities in Madden.
