Default Delano Johnson, DE / OLB, Bowie St.

I'm very intrigued by this guy, he's a DEEP sleeper of mine. He's built like a FREAKING ROCK (just look at the video...), and is one of those guys who just plain out plays with a passion for the game and his emotions on his sleeve. He's just one of those guys who you feel like will make it, no matter what he has to do. Id really love to see him play some more.

He's 6'4" 267 lbs, with 34" arms and from all the reports, looks like he's strait cut from stone. One of my favorite things about him, is that he loves playing in space, and has played almost exclusively as a rush LB in college, and project almost perfectly to the NFL as a stronside OLB, and has some good COD skills.

Here are some reviews from the HBCU Allstar Game (and/or the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl I cant remember which) by Wes Bunting and a video done by Draftnasty.

Quote:
Delano Johnson, an OLB from Bowie State, was the one prospect who I did absolutely no research on coming into the game, but boy will I be watching him this week. He was nealy 6-4 with a rocked up 267-pound frame and really “wowed” during the weigh-in. He looks capable of playing either with his hand on the ground or standing up based off his physical make-up.

Quote:
Delano Johnson from Bowie State was one of the real winners at the weigh-in Monday night displaying his impressive 6-4, 267-pound frame. However, he followed it up with a strong performance Tuesday displaying impressive change of directions skills for a big guy when rushing from two-point stance. He worked a sudden counter off his outside rush and cleanly sidestepped the blocker inside. On his next pass-rushing attempt he displayed a strong jolt on contact, extended his arms well and simply overpowered the tackle before using his length to violently shed.
And here's the video that made me love the kid...

Why would that video make you love him? Going against other D-Lineman and terrible offensive lineman, he still looks very slow off the line, stiff in the hips, and looks like he completely lacks any cod skills.

So, he is big, strong, and can run fast in a straight line. The guy plays way too high and doesn't have the flexibility to bend around the edge. No thanks.

I'm not sure what video games have to do with this.

The fact that he's freakish athletically, but more the interviewing. You can just see how passionate he is for the game.

There's like 10 seconds of him actually playing, how did you get all that from like 2 or 3 clips of him rushing the QB??
