Worst Draft of All Time?
http://sportsyenta.blogspot.com/2007...raft-ever.html
They cover the first 25 picks and they are terrible. Some of the older guys might not want to look, it's embarassing for a lot of teams.

That is pretty terrible. The first round may have been bad, but surely there were other players of use in the later rounds...

ugh. tommy maddox. it still amazes me anyone ever let dan reeves have any say in player evaluation after that.
that's not even taking into account that i believe every player we took in that draft was out of the NFL entirely in less than 3 years.

ewww. some of those are just plain ugly. the only late rounder that sticks out for the giants is keith hamilton who hada very productive career, but that 1st round is just awful

Philipe Sparks also had a solid career for the G-Men. And now his daughter is having a good career on American Idol.

The 1992 draft is one of those rare times the 2nd round produced better players than the first.
2nd round highlights:
Ashley Ambrose, CB
Carl Pickens, WR
Jimm Smith, WR
Darren Woodson, DB
Jason Hanson, K

LOL that was one of the first NFL drafts I watched. Colts had the top 2 picks, and I was like 8 & going crazy. I'm not 100%, but that might have been the year that Kiper went off on the Colts, lol. Has any other team had the top 2 picks since? Just think if that happened in the modern day draft...

it's funny how the Lions drafted like champions in that draft.
Robert Porcher
Tracy Scroggins
Jason Hanson
couldn't have done any better with those first three in this draft... yuck

Wow I have forgotten about that horrid draft. How does a team have both the 1st and 2nd pick and miss on both players so badly?

What was wrong with Jason Hanson. He is still on your team 15 seasons later. Scroggins had decent numbers. Porcher had 4 seasons of double digit sacks.

He was being serious. The Lions had a good draft the one year no one else did. A bit ironic.

Todd Collins was decent for us, as was Sam Gash. Eugene Chung wasn't horrible, I think he got hurt, then he was an expansion pick by the Jaguars, but yeah, brutal, brutal draft...

if u onyl focus on about 7-8 picks of course it will look bad. One could even say the 2000 1st round draft was just as terrible, if u focus on a couple of picks.
Peter Warrick
Courtney Brown
Travis Taylor
Ron Dayne
Trung Candidate
R Jay Soward
Rashard Anderson
Eric Flowers
Slyvester Morris
Chris McIntosh
Anthony Becht
Stockar Mcdougle
All im saying is there are plenty of drafts that are just as worse if not worse, especially if u only focus on a limited number of picks

95% of the people they said are way before my time. i was only 3 or 4 years old back in '92, so i can't really appreciate the awfulness of the draft.

are you kidding? they focused on the first 15 picks, which were absolutely horrible. further, that entire first round was awful. your example (2000) also included urlacher, chris samuels, julian peterson, john abraham, tomas jones, shaun alexander, and keith bulluck. i challenge you to find 3 drafts that had a worse first round than 1992 (and especially a worse top 15).

Collins was a decent player, a good ol' boy, but he quick unexpectedly after like 3 years. Chung played like something that rhymes w/ his last name and controls the flow of excrement...Sam Gash was a solid pro for us and Buffalo...

I beleive that was the 1994 draft when they took Trev Alberts. They also took Faulk that year.
