Default Ingrams trade value

Its purely meant as a HYPOTHETICAL so answering it wont happen and such is moot, everybody knows that, but what would yall say is the current trade value of Mark Ingram?

Not a 1st round pick, that's all I'm saying. Scouts were concerned with injuries with Ingram and he ended up being hurt and landed on IR in his first year. Maybe a late 2nd rounder.

I still wouldn't give up on him, but I do agree. I have no idea what the Saints were thinking investing a 2nd and future 1st at the time for Ingram.

Yeah, that was a really, really bad trade. I don't know if Ingram would get more than a third.

id take a late 2nd rounder to be honest, we have no need for ingram in the coming 3-4 years and a plethora of needs on the defensive side of the ball, to bad it wont happen

At the time of the draft, RB was a huge question mark on their roster.

Bush had a fat salary and was likely to be a cap casualty, Ivory was recovering from injury and eventually went on PUP to begin the year, and Thomas spent the entire previous season with nagging injuries and in Payton's doghouse.

It looks dumb in hindsight, but their runningback situation was a mess.

going into the season with bush, thomas, ivory and hamilton/bell wouldve been just fine, the first 2 games might have been toughish but after that it wouldnt change a thing

If I'm a team that needs a RB like, say, the Chiefs... I'd give up a 4th rounder for him. I think his value is anywhere from late-3rd to anywhere in the 5th round.

Except they weren't going to go into the season with Bush at a $10 million price tag. Ivory didn't even get cleared to practice midway through October.

ivory was mainly pupped cuz of smiths suspension, there was enough cap room to take bush on that contract if a suitable replacement couldnt be found, besides the bush/sproles position is just a different position in our offense.

LOL.
Guys are hard on rookies around here. Ingram hasn't done anything to be worth value in a trade.

Being picked doesn't make you an asset once you reach the NFL. For a RB especially after a less than impressive rookie year who lacks any elite physical tools, why would you trade anything more than a 5th-6th round pick??

If the Saints really were ready to get rid of him after his rookie year, I personally wouldn't be excited about trading a high pick for Ingram.

You ask yourself this question:

Would I rather have Mark Ingram over Doug Martin? If so, trade a 2nd

Would I rather have Mark Ingram over Isaiah Pead? If so, trade a 3rd

etc. etc.

The fact is football players are like new cars... the second you draft one or drive it off the lot they're no longer worth the amount you paid.

I'd say Ben Tate has more value now than on draft day...

I'd say his trade value is little to none honestly, he doesn't have much wear on the tires at least, but I think the hype train has fallen off when people realized that he wasn't even the best player at his position on his team the year he won the Heisman. I'd say his value has to be pretty low, I'd maybe give up a late 4th or 5th.

2nd or 3rd round.

He was still very good in NO. People seem to think because he was a 4 ypc guy, that he won't ever be more than that.

If Aaron Curry with his ridiculous contract and horrible on-field play can be trade for a 5th and 7th, no way Mark Ingram is being traded for late rounders. On a prospect level I like him better than Doug Martin and would trade his value(2nd round pick for him).
