For all intents and purposes your HC is a failed college coach who was a last option. Can't forget that.

Well then, let's wait until the Bucs aren't picking in the top 5 before we label them a threat.
Just throwing that out there.

Youngest team in the NFL that's still building, yet people call them overrated? Even after all the vet additions, they're still the youngest roster in the league.
I get it. Hate on the Bucs. Every one does. But we'll see this year.
Just remember, we don't have a coach anymore that spends most of his time doing shots with his players at the bars as punishment or discipline anymore :)

You mean a college coach who pretty much brought a football program that was , actually can't even think of a worse word than disgrace to respectable, and did it without top 25 classes in recruiting and developed guys into solid pros, hence Ray Rice, McCourty bros, Kenny Britt.
Rutgers wasn't even on the map in terms of bad. Look at them now.

Anyone who called them overrated last year was right. I don't think anyone's calling them overrated now, because everyone's back to expecting nothing; because they suck. Glad you are confident with your shiny new toys, but the Bucs have a lot of work to do before they are a "threat" especially to the Falcons and the Saints.

After watching the Falcons embarassing playoff loss and replacing Murlakey with Dirik Koetter, who's done nothing as an OC, I have a hard time seeing how they improved.
The Saints, in terms of the honor system and ethics, are a disgrace. So many Saints fans claimed the reason they lost to Tampa last year was bc Payton was out. That scum is gone the whole year. Deal with it.

The Falcons didn't have to improve to be better than the Bucs. I'm not sure you're grasping how bad they were, and how ridiculous it is to call them a threat for contention at this point in time.

He kind of has a point. I wouldn't call him a "failed college coach", but he wasn't anything special. He was 68-67, finished in the top 25 only once in 11 years, and his most significant bowl game was the Insight Bowl...or the Texas Bowl?.. I don't know, the point is he never went to a bowl game that people actually give a damn about. The only thing going for him is that he made Rutgers not complete garbage, but even then he's doing it against other crappy Big East schools.

Wow. Guess you didn't watch or even recognize the Rutgers football program before Schiano. What he did was probably a miracle to that football program. And, he did it without any top recruiting classes coming in.
I'd say that's pretty impressive.

He built a program from trash. Seriously, who has ever said Schiano wasn't a success at Rutgers?
