"Hey Morris. See that guy in front of you? Chase him around and don't let him catch the ball"
That's what coaches will tell him. It doesn't take a genius to be a CB. As long as youre athletic and know how to play the position athletically you'll be alright.

Carmelo Anthony is a better and more productive player than Kevin Durant
I would be shocked if it caused his stock to drop. He's far and away the best defensive back in this class. A bad score on the Wonderlic doesn't change it. In fact, in general, a higher score on the Wonderlic scares off more teams than a low one does for cornerbacks. Cornerback play is more instinctive than it is analytical. When a cornerback prospect does score well, it causes teams to pause and wonder if the player in question is going to overthink things. The thought process being that a cornerback that's thinking isn't reacting and isn't playing to his full speed.
So, while it looks bad, it isn't a huge problem for NFL teams. Just don't let him loose on Twitter unsupervised.
The Wonderlic is multiple choice if I remember correctly. If he would have just marked down "C" for every answer he would have scored around a 10-12. That statistical proof shows just how stupid this kid is. What a joke!

I personally had to take the Wonderlic to qualify for a job. It is a pretty difficult test. The highest I'd seen anyone (among my coworkers) score is a 44. I scored a 37. Nobody that I am aware of has ever Ace'd it. That being said, a 4 is just unacceptable.
I think what they're trying to gauge by giving players the Wonderlic is NOT football intelligence. I think it's a better gauge of whether or not a player is going to be aware of themselves in the spotlight. It's a great gauge for personal logic, and therefore, may be some indication of their behavior off the field.
I might be wrong, but yes, I'd say this will make some teams wary.
That's wierd, because to get a damn 4, you have to be kind of ******** and listening to him in interviews, he doesn't come unintelligent at all.
As some people said, you don't need to be smart to play CB. Darrelle Revis got a 10 in his Wonderlic. While getting a 10 isn't nearly as bad as getting a 4, it showed that you can dvelop into a great CB even if you failed the test.
Also, people really need to stop conflating how you speak with your level of intelligence. Your speaking ability is a reflection of your education and your culture; it has little to do with your raw intelligence (assume you aren't like cabbage-level stupid).

There are retards playing in the Big 10 too. The only difference is the SEC's retards have won championships recently.
Do you have no idea how admission standards work? It's very common for players to be denied admission to Big Ten schools and end up in the SEC. I have never in my life heard the opposite with the exception of Vandy.
I'm not saying the Big Ten is producing legitimate scholars either, but you at least need to know how to spell your name to gain admittance.
He probably just didn't give a **** and half-assed it. Or full-assed it.
And that scares me a bit more. You knew you had to take this test....seriously, look over some study materials for an hour the night before at least.
Getting a four is just ******* stupid.
THis^^
Guys blow this test off all the time because of arrogance and believing it doesn't really matter.
If Claiborne was smart enough not to fail out of LSU and able to retain the defensive gameplan and remember his coverage assignments for an upcoming opponent, the guy probably thought he didn't need to perform well on a geek multiple choice test.
IMO the only position the WOnderlic has relevance is for QBs and maybe Olineman.
Fans get too caught up low Wonderlic scores. Bet Claiborne didn't even finish.

A four though...damn. That ludicrously bad. If you just flat out guess at every question, you probably end up with a better score.
With these ultra-low wonderlic scores, I always assume that the player did guess, and just wasn't very lucky. They may be functionally illiterate, or they may just not be trying.

That's also how the MAC schools get a lot of their talent. If you don't qualify at Michigan or Michigan State; you can probably still get into Western, Central, or Eastern Michigan.
