Something else I've been doing, that i think helps, is put a link to the post where it announced their death next to their name. That way, if you show up and see the thread has been open for 10 pages, you can go back to that day's starting point more easily.

My family has been out in downtown KC almost all day, but they're due back in the area semi soonish. If I'm not super active tonight that's why, but I'll try to keep up to date via my phone. I have to do some dinner or some such crap.
