I was giving you an opportunity to state your case on which WR on this team fit the bill as a starting caliber possession WR. I take it you don't know who is on the Bengals roster and made an assessment based on lack of knowledge and disdain for Sanu because as you mentioned before, "you don't like his first name". Sanu does not have elite breakaway speed, he doesnt have the quickest burst off the line, and he isnt going to stretch the field vertically. However, Sanu is a beast blocker, has great ball skills, and is not afraid to catch them over the middle. He also gives us another redzone threat.
As we go into day 3 there are alot of speedy WR left. Tommy Streeter, Jarius Wright, Devon Wylie, Chris Owosu.

i understand the concern and Sanu is no Torrey Smith but he plays WAY faster than his 40 time. And his 10 yards/catch comes more from our QB's being so inept that Sanu didn't run any routes more than 10 yards because our QB's couldn't hit him, our Oline couldn't hold during 5 step drops and he was doubled all game.
I'm telling you, the kid is a gamer. He's a ridiculous run blocker, great with the ball in his hands, great kid and work ethic, extremely smart on the field. And he CAN go deep. Again, he's not a blazer, but he'll go deep for you if asked and go catch a bomb. He's going to develop into Boldin in his prime. Big, strong, physical WR who can occasionally stretch the field and is virtually uncoverable in the short yardage situations. He'll work the middle for you and be an animal there. He's a pretty nice compliment to AJ. You guys will love him, trust me

Thats what I see from him on tape. He looks like a reliable guy whom I have been high on in the draft. I had him pegged as a second round talent and #5 WR. He does everything Marvin Lewis asks of a WR. He blocks and goes out there to catch the football. The only bad things I see is that he isnt really elusive and isnt a pure burner and I think that is why some people arent as high on him.

RB and WR to look at in Day 3
Lamar Miller, RB - Something is making him fall, and it has to be injuries? He is a talented runner. Some had him pegged to us in Round 1, and some in Round 2. Naturally it would have looked good to get him in the late 3rd, right? Clearly the injuries are pushing him down and maybe its a good thing we didn't draft him yet. Maybe he will be there is the 4th or 5th.
Chris Rainey, RB - A very elusive player that can has good hands out of the backfield. Will drop well beyond the 4th round IMO because of some character issues and shoulder injury.
Davin Meggett, RB - Strong, compact, powerful runner. Has good hands out of the back field and has a good head on his shoulders. Not very elusive and lacks home run speed. Coughs the ball up too much.
Joe Adams, WR - Plays much faster than timed. Is a home run threat and has great elusiveness to shake defenders. Hands are questionable and needs some polishing.
Tommy Streeter, WR - A WR I would like to pick up on this team. He is a tall receiver that has good stretch the field speed. Footwork and route running are lacking. He is a far from polished prospect but could be a future weapon in our offense.
Jarius Wright, WR - Another prospect I like. Has good hands and good speed. Has the elusiveness in route running to create separation and great field vision to find holes in the defense. Has some durability concerns and lacks ideal size.

Lot more people are high on him than I was, admit discounting him because of the 40 time, so I guess your right about me not knowing enough about him to be casting judgement. He seems like a tough dude that can contribute and I was just kidding about his name

We are killin this draft boys! Orson Charles came into the draft as the second most talented TE but he dropped due to a DUI. His film is out of control. These value picks are really starting to add up. Watch out world, the Bengals are back!

Orson Charles is a talented TE. I didnt think the Bengals were aiming towards getting a TE after signing Lee back. Charles will help us alot in 2 TE sets.

Another Solid Pick hopefully he knocks Newman or Clements off the team.

I really don't think there is any value in picking a safety this deep in the draft now. We still may, but honestly I dont think there is one that can improve our team...and our safeties are bad! A CB/S tweener will more than likely be the option, then again we may already have that on our team with Allen, Kirkpatrick or even Clements.
CB's on the team now
Hall
Clements
Kirkpatrick
Allen
Jones
Ghee
Newman
Prater
When Hall is healthy and if by chance returns to his usual form where do the odd men out go?

Another corner Shaun Prater from Iowa. Outside of a few picks most have been made to solidify depth. The fact that they haven't drafted a running back or safety yet tells me that they are really high on the players they have on the roster already. Obviously a few guys we like or a one of these draft picks aren't going to make the team on the defensive line. Also with the Sanu pick I feel that was one of the best fits Cinci could have got through the draft. I know people are clamoring for a super speedy guy but Dalton isn't a huge arm to take advantage of that. Plus Green stretches the field enough for this team. The Bengals offense is based on timing and shorter patterns and Sanu was one of the best pure route runners in this draft.

Honestly I think it comes down to the Bengals not liking any of the Running backs that were left after round 1. The only one I really liked was PEad and he was traded up for. There are still alot of speedy WR out there too so likely we could grab one in the 5th or 6th (hopefully 5th because I did go on record saying the bengals would draft 2 WR between 2-5, lol).

If they do go after a speedy WR I hope that he is a very good kick returner. Punt and kick returns have been very poor the last few years and has even cost them a few games.

Did you guys just see Sanu interview on ESPN. Wow - pretty impressive and thoughtful comments. Said his best attribute is that he is "accountable". I repent.

Might beat out Newman or Ghee. Ghee hasnt been very good, and Newman is old and hasnt been very good lately.

Alot of wear on the tires and oft injured.
Like to see Tommy Streeter and Audie Cole...maybe Criner, or either of the joneses at WR. Trevathon would fit too.
