Mays was a Singletary lust pick. He beat the table for him and Baalke conceded. He wont make that mistake again. Davis is a 23 year old starter who is heading into his 3rd year as a pro and is rapidly making strides. He wasn't the weak link on our line last year, RG was. I fail to see your point.

Think Andrew Luck is lobbying for Coby Fleener at this moment.

The Browns.... I've been looking forward to this day for a year, after the trade down last year. Richardson, I am happy with. Weeden on the other hand (which I am not happy about).... What is the point? Don't honestly play the quarterback battle card, McCoy has been handed the short end of the stick to a player who's upside is not much higher. The Browns need to trade McCoy for a 5th or 6th rounder ASAP (once again which I am not happy about) because they are done with him. You do not invest a first rounder in a guy just to let your former third rounder beat him out. My advice is get what you can for McCoy.

Bad management on a pick that could've allowed a quality pass rusher (Mercilus) or a quality offensive lineman (Decastro)

Not surprised with it. Had in in one of my millions of horribly inaccurate mocks.

And why are you Bears fans going crazy? There are SO MANY good OL available right now.

I like the Bruce Irvin pick more than Pete Carroll, I think.

I'll post something extensive on round one after the playoff game that went into OT. Go Devils. The Devils are my favorite NHL team and I still watched the draft over a second of Game 7. NFL rules.

If your the Colts, you take DE Courtney Upshaw with the 2nd pick in the 2nd round. Dwight Freeney 2.0 is what I see in Upshaw.

Regarding the Baalke "reach"...

Quote:
Jim Harbaugh: GM Trent Baalke wrote "AJ Jenkins" and put it in envelope last night. He was guy 49ers targeted in that spot.

I was stunned with the Weeden pick. Seems way too desperate to me. I think they would have been way better served taking a WR to help McCoy. Giving him Richardson and a WR and one more year to see if he could make it work would have been a better idea if you ask me. Take the QB next year if McCoy is unable to utilize those added weapons or let Weeden fall to you in the 2nd. I can't see there being a huge rush to take a 28 year old rookie from a spread offence.

He's not like Freeney a lot. In fact they're kind of opposites. Horrible comparison.

Take the QB next year if McCoy is unable to utilize those added weapons or let Weeden fall to you in the 2nd. I can't see there being a huge rush to take a 28 year old rookie from a spread offence.
Exactly, let Richardson and the WR learn for a year while McCoy leads you to Barkley, Bray, Wilson, Landry Jones, whoever tops the board next April.
