Read Knightfall. Looks like this movie is loosely taking elements from that story arc of Batman. Which is nice, because Bane at that time, when he was first introduced, comes off more as a cunning strategist than later incarnations of the character would have you believe.

I just re-watched Batman Begins. I was in college when it came out, and there had been a string of really ****** Batman movies, so I wasn't expecting much. Then my Shakespeare professor said that it was the best movie of the year, and I thought "Holy hell, if my Shakespeare prof says it's great, then it probably is."
If Dark Knight Rises is as good, then it'll easily be one of the best trilogies ever. As great as Begins is, though, it's nothing compared to Dark Knight (IMO).
I seriously can't wait. I want to see this movie now.

Just watched TDK today and I literally cannot wait for this movie. Like WCH said, it could be one of the greatest trilogies ever

Movie seems like it could be a huge let-down, Michael Bay-style effects aside. I have low expectations for every movie, though.

If you have low expectations, how could it be a let-down for you? Besides, this movie will not have Michael Bay-style effects, that would just be random things blowing up all the time, these effects will be well placed, well timed and actually add to the movie. Wait, was that you saying everything will be a let-down except for the Michael Bay-style effects?

Well, a football field imploding with a player running and having no idea it did is akin to Bay. You'd have to dig out an enormous cavern to do that. And the player not knowing is cheese dick.
Hopefully that is the worst of it. I so want this movie to be great after the shitshow that was matrix 2 & 3.

Well, I don't think that we know that he didn't know (but that is admittedly the impression I got from the previews). Even still, there was some cheese dick **** in Batman Begins, but the whole movie was strong enough that it didn't matter.

Good point on batman begins having some cheese. I completely forgot. And obviously, in the grand scheme, it didn't harm the movie for me.
I guess I'm just overly paranoid about execution, as it's so rare to nail the trifecta.

I wonder if Catwoman will get a whip in the movie. Doesn't look like it, but maybe it just hasn't been revealed. The action figure looks like it's missing an accessory that can be held, and I heard one person theorize that it could be released later with other figures (I doubt it as it probably would have shown up on ebay by now), but when Batman Begins came out they had a similar marketing ploy with with the Ken Watanabe figures being labeled as Ra's al Ghul and Liam Neeson's figures being labeled as Ducard...until the movie had been out for a while and the labels on the packaging had been changed.

I actually went to the page of the theatre I'm going to. But I just went to Fandango and I went all the way to the payment page, so I don't know why it isn't working for you. Maybe it already sold out.
