The Bears are icing the kicker in the preseason. Classic Lovie.

Still a better use of a timeout than what he typically uses them for.

The pass rushers from the first round look pretty good.

The same can be said with their starters.

So Dennis Dixon is still a free agent yet Jarrod Johnson gets work. Ok.

Nahh. Now if he does that in the regular season, it's time to build a bunker and stock up on survival goods.

I'll take the win, we have a lot of questions and the OL is a huge concern but seeing Chandler Jones play the way he did was awesome and Hightower made some plays too. Secondary and defense as a whole just looked very improved from top to bottom, some encouraging signs there.

Why didn't Jarrett Lee get more love at at LSU?

Les Miles had a hard on for Jordan Jefferson. I still remember Lee was the guy for the future at LSU, Peria Jerry buried him and hurt him in the 2008 Ole Miss game and Jefferson came in and it was his job after that.

Because he was terrible and still is. Among other things... like getting in the coach's doghouse.

He wasn't very good but Jordan Jefferson was not either and Jefferson did everything he could off the field to lose his job, and he didn't do much on it to help his case. He was the guy holding that team back last year.

Jordan Jefferson came on for Lee and beat Alabama though in 2010.
Lee attempted 24 passes in 4 years against Bama and 7 of them were interceptions.

I already like B.J. Coleman more than Graham Harrell.

He should have got a shot in the NC game this year though, it was clear that nothing was happening with Jefferson under center that game. Lee had some talent but LSU was in a tough spot at QB trying to decide which average QB to lead an otherwise loaded team. Mettenberger (sp?) could blow up this year I could see him being a transfer and/or JUCO guy who plays a year then leaves to the NFL and goes in the first like Newton or Rodgers (2 college seasons).

That's because Harrell is a doucher.

Weak armed Texas Tech QB at that. Packers might as well hang 'em up if they were to lose Rodgers. They have to do something to remedy the backup spot. Although I do like Coleman for down the road.

Ryan Mathews will be sidelined 4-6 weeks with a broken clavicle sustained early in Thursday's preseason opener
So no Mathews on Sept 10th
