Nah, not any worse than it would be anyway. The draft is still so far away and there are some lousy teams in the Pac-12 for him to pad his stats against.

If you must suck, suck early in the season so every has time to forget about it. If he was doing this in say, a bowl game, it would leave a far more lasting impact.

To a casual fan maybe, but wouldn't the scouts look at a game like this even more intensely than a lousy stat padding game as this is closer to an NFL atmosphere.

I would like to think that scouts would be better than that, I really would, but sometimes I just don't know...guys who put together a great body of work over 4 years will fall potentially a hundred picks because they didn't work out that well leading up to the draft while guys who did next to nothing on the field will shoot up draft boards because "ZOMG 4.3 speedzzz!!"
