These announcers are talking like part of their soul just died. Like this is the most tragic event ever.

It's really not that upsetting. Bad call, Packers lose. O well.

Eh, the NFL thrives on hyperbole.

Wes Welker "only" has eight catches through 2 games so he must be getting disrepected by the Patriots who want to teach him a lesson, trade him or both.

Alex Smith beat the Packers. OMGZZZ he is elite!!!

The Saints are 0-3. Sean Payton is some kind of God for bringing this awful team to 13 wins last year!

The NFL markets itself towards casual fans, who as we all know, are idiots. Having these kind of storylines gives pundits something to talk about instead of actually having to break down film and study the teams playing. So the whole over reaction to replacement officials is going to continue until they go away because NFL analysts and journalists are in essence lazy. It's easier to pick apart a bad call rather than any of the many things that happen on any given play

Ok, I can't stick up for the replacements anymore. They just put the kiss of death on themselves last night.

Having that said, the Seahawks defense is sick! The NFC West might have the top 3 defenses in the league all in the same division.

Hey guys, remember when the Packers scored their go-ahead touchdown because a drive got extended by a PHANTOM third down pass interference call? Selective memories I suppose.

This^

The refs were bad all around that game. If the Packers won we'd be talking about this exact play instead of the hail mary.

The refs didn't cost them the game, but they didn't help them either. The Packers got outplayed.

Well did we forget the clear pass interference on Rice that was called on Shields? The game was poorly called... The problem is that the game was determined by a ****** call.

Also, you can't really point to any of the PIs or games other calls and say they directly influenced the result like the hail mary call did.

There was a moment in that end zone where the refs got together, and one said to another "touchdown." That was a ref deciding the game right then and there.

The roughing the passer call was the right call though. Ever since Tom Brady got hurt in Week One, it has been illegal to hit the QB below the waist unless you are pushed into the legs. Walden dove right at Wilson's left knee.

This is crap. So it would have been 4th and 2 for GB on Seattle's 47

what do they do then? Do they punt? Do they go for it? Do they convert? Do they still get points? We simply don't know

what we do know is that Seattle got a TD on what was clearly an INT in the end that directly led to a win

He is the same ref who flagged Shields for PI. HOnestly, that PI on Shields was probably the worst call of the night. I mean, that wasn't even close

Yeah, I think even the regular refs would have called roughing. You have to remember that the replacment refs have generally been letting players get away with more than the regular refs on similar plays.

Protecting QBs to that degree is weak, but at least it's something that has been done somewhat consistently.

Yeah, that call was terrible. I thought the PI call on the Seahawks that kept the Packer's scoring drive was bad but at least I can understand it. The Seahawks player hit the Packers player right when the ball got there. The Rice-Shields call was inexcusable. Rice basically had Shields in a head lock then pushed off. Just a horrible call.

Yeah, Rice even had his hands on Shields' facemask iirc. Two things working against Sheilds there though was that he did have a fist full of Rice's jersey and never got his head turned around.

Enough to call it? No, not with what Rice was doing to him right back.

Thank god this happened early in the year for GB. They still have plenty of games left to get things going. Probably can only lose 3 more games though the rest of the way, but they are capable of it

if this happened in November/Dec, I'd probably be more pissed off.

Why didn't Rodgers run last night? Don't know if this was mentioned earlier in the thread, but Seattle were pass rushing so frantically from so wide and getting Rodgers from behind. It seemed like he could have taken off for so many first downs.

Rice did push Shields head via facemask and was grabbing his shoulder pads. Yes Shields had a handful of his jersey but at worst it should be offsetting penalties or something.

Most of the sacks I saw happened when they closed the pocket around him and when he tried to move got hit. There were more than a few plays where he should have just gotten rid of the ball but kept looking down field.
