2/3rds of a three game season. Not good, but not irreversible either.

The Panthers are such a joke. The defense looks almost helpless out there, Newton looks terrible, Steve Smith is being ignored despite favorable matchups and the playcalling is way too gimmicky for Carolina as opposed to seeing what Gilbride is calling.....Gilbride is calling a masterful game for once. You have decent ******* weapons Carolina, why must you run these stupid QB/RB delay runs or whatever....its almost never works. The playcalling has been absolutely abysmal. I know the GMen DLine is really good but you can't tell me you can't get aggressive and attack the Giants wounded corners. Did Carolina even gameplan for this game or did they just mail it in before of the short week?
Had to turn it off after that 1st half. Maybe I'll go back and watch 2nd half but that was just such domination.

Well this game just sucks now. Giants are soon going to be in "just don't get anyone hurt" mode, if they aren't already.

I'm officially ******* livid.
Why the **** did I choose the Panthers? We've been good for about 2 seasons since 1996.

I can't stand our situational play calling specifically in the red zone. Just lacks aggressiveness. What team doesn't let their QB throw into the endzone. That drives me nuts! Game in and game out.

I mean Cam's great but their other picks haven't been great. And they love to pay to above market value to good but not great players who seem to regress right after their contracts. I mean James Anderson, Jon Beason and Kuechly LB core can't let Andre Brown run riot. This is bad.

You know I agree with you on this 100%. Maddening we hate putting teams away.

At least there is no longer the possibility of the dreaded Brandon Jacobs draw. Oh man, 3rd and 2? Better run the Brandon Jacobs draw for -1 yard...

Yup! As someone who coached on the offensive side of the ball, this type of bush league play calling in the redzone drives me crazy. I think it's illegal to score too many points , unless we are in a shoot out.
You would think that's the thing with us. We haven't tested this secondary once. But if we were in shoot out we'd be going deep. I respect and defended Gilbride and like the guy. But the situational play calling, specifically in the red zone lacks balls.

Dude, every game and every season. Any other team's franchise QB would have 2-4 TDs by now. It drives me nuts how we settle for FGs.

Other picks like Armanti Edwards, Jimmy Clausen? Yeah, those were pretty bad. But the Panthers are actually pretty good with first round picks going back a decade; Dan Morgan, Julius Peppers, Jordan Gross, Chris Gamble, Thomas Davis, DeAngelo Williams, Jon Beason, Jonathan Stewart, Jeff Otah, Cam Newton, Luke Kuechly. Jeff Otah is the only bad one of that bunch, the rest are/were very good starters.
