DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson
So far with Sammy Watkins out and having Hopkins pick up the receiving slack. Hopkins has managed to rack up 19 rec 224 yds 4 TDs this season, with his stellar performance Saturday vs Ball State bringing in 6 rec 105 yds 3 TDs. How do you all think he will fair this year as an underrated receiver in this 2013 class if he decides to come out?

That TD catch and run he had yesterday was sweet. He has a ton of ability, just doesn't have the hype of Watkins. One hell of a college receiver duo.

I like him as a prospect, which pains me to say given his team. One has to always be wary of Clemson prospects in the draft, but the kid has talent. Not the same level of playmaker as Watkins, but he is a receiver who is very reliable. His size/athleticism combination isn't elite, but it is pretty good and overall I could see him at least being a very good number two, if not a reliable number one for NFL teams at some point. Good second round pick IMO.

Really like his routes, especially the comebacks/curls. Very effective double move on the Go route as well. I believe he had a few drops through the first 2 games, but more often than not caught the ball well away from his body.

Underrated? You could completely argue he could be a top 5 receiver in the draft if he comes out early with how he is playing. And with the health troubles of Justin Hunter, suspension issue with Da'Rick Rogers and Jaz Reynolds. Then the only reason seniors to compete for a top spot as a receiver are Tavarres King and Dobson I feel. He has a pretty damn good chance to be top 5 if he keeps playing this well.
So I would forget about the underrated thing...
Really Hunter, Rogers, Reynolds, Matthews are all a wash, especially the first three because you do not know what you will get and there are issues there. Could easily make the case of it being 1 Woods, 2 Matthews, 3 Hopkins if those other three do not get control of themselves. Or if all three achieve their potential it would probably go 1 Woods, 2 Hunter, 3 Reynolds, 4 Rogers, 5 Matthews, 6 Hopkins,7 King.... But clearly it depends on who comes out and who plays well this year etc.
Robert Woods USC JR
Justin Hunter Tennessee JR
Da'Rick Rogers Tennessee JR
DeAndre Hopkins Clemson JR
Jaz Reynolds Oklahoma JR
Jordan Matthews Vanderbilt JR
Tavarres King Georgia
Aaron Dobson Marshall
Keenan Allen Cal JR
Tavon Austin West Virginia
Cobi Hamilton Arkansas
Kenny Stills Oklahoma JR
Emory Blake Auburn
Terrance Williams Baylor
Rodney Smith Florida State
JD Woods West Virginia
Marcus Davis Virginia Tech

Reminds me of Torrey Smith. Same build, will have comparable 40 times, hard workers, good character guys and like Smith, Hopkins looks like he's going to break out in a big way in his Junior season.
Sure the dreads have something to do with it too. I think he's a 2nd Rounder.
