Biggest Knocks On [Insert Player Here]
Ok so this thread is pretty simple, the person above you will have listed a players name, and you say your biggest knocks on him. For example, is he undersized and a step slow? Did he lack stats in college, or not play well when his team faced tough competition? Did he drop what would have been a game winning catch? Does he have off the field issues?
For best results, it will be easier to quote the poster you are referring to, as it may get out of order pretty quickly.
Don't forget to respond to the previous poster AND leave a player for the next person to comment on. It's fine to post the same player several times, but if you've already answered one on that player please wait for someone else to reply.
Ok to start it off,

He has poor press technique which can lead to big plays, and hes not nearly as physical as hes made out to be. Hes also a tackle whiff waiting to happen. Has come a long way since his freshman year though

One trick pony. Does not show much in the pass rush department. Gets cut blocked a bunch because he raises his pad level at the snap.
Cordarrelle Patterson

Patterson is still far from a polished receiver. Is a great athlete but needs to really learn the fine points of playing the position that makes talented athletes into great pro receivers.
Going to add something on Jesse Williams-he is not the most explosive DT prospect we have ever seen, but he is hardly a lumbering slob. As PatSims alluded to he is not a dominant pass rusher, but I think he could develop into a good player in that department. I think Williams will end up being one of the best players in this class, he is still very new to the game and is a monster of a talent. Would love him on the Pats.
Datone Jones.

Body catcher who needs to learn how to be a WR. Electric in the open field but OCs will have to scheme to get him the ball in space as he hasn't shown a consistent ability to win as a WR on the outside.

Richardson's lack of bulk prevents him from being a quality run defender, he cannot fit in a two-gap scheme, and there are some concerns regarding his character.

Solid but unspectacular athlete with unspectacular size.

Needs to add strength in his lower body and core
Sticking with Gio Bernard

Not much to dislike about Bernard, but for his size and build, it would help if he got a little stronger if he wants to be a dependable, every down back. He's in the Ray Rice, MJD mould, but lacks the same power as those two.

First thing that comes to mind with Bernard is how often he gets injured. That is a big concern, especially for an NFL RB. Didn't show the explosive athleticism some people expected at the combine if I am not mistaken.

Bernard is fragile, and doesnt run with much power. An excellent ZBS runner, but are they worth a high draft pick?
Hes a poor mans chris johnson (as a prospect, not 2000 yard rusher), who at the time was a poor mans reggie bush...maybe hes too poor of a man at this point (kidding)

I would answer Jarvis Jones the same way I answered Bernanrd-questions about durability and not having ideal measurables. The tape shows you a lot with those two. Jones' athleticism is much more a question mark than it is for Bernard, though.

Complete liability in the run game and really lacks awareness. Very good athlete but looks lost in space. Situational pass rusher???

Dying breed of safety, in the box, underrated in coverage but still not great. He takes wildly off angles some times and he isnt shy about laying a crushing blow to the ball carriers head, which is a problem in the pros (sadly)

Slow-ish off the snap, absolutely gets destroyed in run blocking, has very little YAC ability.

More freak than football player. Didn't play to his measureables and I don't see a difference maker at either base end or 5 technique. Lacks top first step and needs to play with better leverage.

Easy one....takes horrible angles, is undersized to the point where he cant take on guards very effectively, looks clumsy in traffic....he trips while trying to make a tackle in traffic while a guy like Arthur brown glides and shows weaving magic. on film it seems like hes everywhere on the field, but really is only effective when hes untouched. Ernie simms to me
Jon Hankins
edit: this is fun

Flashes dominance and is a good athlete for being as big as he is, but he disappears at times and is inconsistent, not just from game to game but from quarter to quarter in a game. Might have to do with endurance/stamina issues and he might have trouble staying in shape as he gets older.

Not a finished all around product right now, though he's very good in the more important aspect (catching passes). Also there always seems to be an uncertainty around ND guys, even when they're good.

Great inline player with tremendous functional strength but isn't a guy you can count on to lead the way at the second level on stretch runs or screens. Also doesn't offer much in the way of versatility.

not many holes in his game, but id say the biggest one is his run blocking...he just needs to get stronger to be the caliber of run blocking LT as he is already as a pass blocking LT.

May lack the foot speed to be a true center-fielder in the NFL, and probably won't be able to match up in the slot against wide receivers. Occasionally misses a few open-field tackles as well.

Watson is still very raw. Very limited football experience and had to go junior college rout when coming from Europe. While he has a wide frame, he does not always play that way. His footwork is also below average (due to lack of experience) but he has the quickness to fix that.
