1. Matt Elam, S, Florida

Elam is my top ranked Safety. He is exactly what the Bengals need and can start from day one. He he physical and can play in the box as well as play in coverage. He is the best of both worlds.

2A. Giovani Bernard, RB, North Carolina

Ill be honest. He wont be here. Some people have him rated as the best RB in the draft, others just have him in the top 3. All in all I feel like this is one of the weaker RB drafts and because of that Bernard could be the first RB taken in the 2nd round. Last years RB just felt stronger. Richardson, Martin, Wilson, James, and Miller just seemed a better crop than Bernard, Randle, Taylor, Lacy and Gillisle. However, if that is the case, I can't see the Bengals not taking advantage of the fact the best RB in the draft is sitting there for them.

2b. Sean Porter, OLB, Texas A&M

Porter is fluid and fast in coverage situations. He can chase down ball handlers going across the edge and has the ability to get to the QB. He isn't perfect by any means and he isnt Von Miller but I think he might be able to play very well as a 4-3 OLB in the NFL.

3. Margus Hunt, DE, SMU

Hunt is a huge specimen that is very raw. However he is a Marvin Lewis style DE like Micheal Johnson. Depending on how things shore up in FA, the Bengals might not have a need fro another DE and this could easily go another route like CB, or even WR. But, the Bengals might still look to add another DE to the mix. Plus the dude is like 6 foot 7.

4. Darius Slay, CB, Mississippi State

Slay wasn't the best CB in Mississippi but he still played pretty good. The Bengals CB's arent getting any younger and they aren't getting any cheaper.

5. John Wetzel, OT, Boston College

While OT is not a need, you really don't search for a starter in the 5th round. Wetzel will more than likely serve as a backup at either LT or RT. He is prolly better than Roland, though that isnt saying much.
