Nicholas Williams, DT, Samford

Just doing some research on potential late round sleeper type prospects and came across Nicholas Williams and became intrigued. He seems to be a fit as a 34 end and the Packers are certainly in the market for upgrades there.

Combine Numbers

Height: 6'4" Weight: 309
40 yard dash: 4.94
Reps: 28 Vertical: 33"
Broad Jump: 9'3"
20 yard shuttle: 4.65
3-Cone Drill: 7.55

Physically he appears the part, and he is someone who is still relatively new after only playing one year in high school thanks to being a basketball player and this past season was only his second with a good deal of playing time. I'm working on trying to find some game tape of him, but from evaluations I've read he is still extremely raw and is far more of an athlete than a football player.

Anyone seen him play at all?

Who the hell is Samford? Samford & Sons?

Maybe they'll be part of the next Big East conference.

Maybe they'll be part of the next Big East conference.

Samford has produced Cortland Finnegan and Corey White, of current players in the league, so they're not completely new to sending players to the NFL.

I believe Samford is the team that had a 3 score lead on Florida early and blew it in the 4th q in 2011.

Edit: nm they played auburn that year, I was thinking of Furman
