Te'o wasn't even on the Heisman radar in September when she died. I don't think he would've done it to help win the Heisman.. Defensive players never even win it anyways.

If he was in on it, it was either for popularity for whatever reason, or to cover up that he's *** or bi or something.

That'd be a whole lot more plausible if his own parents didn't appear to be telling lies about meeting her, too. There are just too many people involved that are very close to Manti for it to be a "sick joke" played on him.

My prediction: ND will throw him under the bus big time after the truth comes out, claiming they believed him despite it seeming apparent that his own teammates even knew it was all BS.
