Over his career? No so sure. To categorize Austin as a RB is just terribly unfair. He carried the ball 47 times in 3 seasons. Only this season was he utilized so much as a RB. McCluster had 130 receptions in his college career. Austin had 114 just this season. McCluster was much more of a RB than Austin.
His ability to get free in short spaces in his routes, and his value on STs makes him an option in my eyes.
And let's not forget the added dimension of putting Austin in motion from the pistol with Kaep and James/Hunter on the field.
