Default Mock Draft 4.0 With Trades

Here's a four round mock with a couple trades. If I have someone in the mock twice let me know, and also, if I missed any big names let me know. Feedback is always welcomed.

Trades

• Buffalo trades 2nd and 3rd rounder to Green Bay for 1st rounder
- The trade value chart has this exactly equal. The Bills move up to claim their quarterback, and Green Bay moves back to address more needs.

• Tampa Bay trades 1st and 4th rounder to New York Jets for 1st
- The Buccaneers move up a bit to grab the best defensive back in the draft, the Jets move back to claim another draft pick, and build through the draft with another pick.

• Oakland trades 1st rounder to Miami for 1st, 2nd, and 4th rounder
- The Raiders move back to get more draft picks. The Dolphins move up to take the best OT in the draft, rather than pay Jake Long.

• Chicago trades 1st rounder to San Francisco for 1st and 3rd rounder
- San Fran move up for a defensive end, while Chicago moves back and gets another pick to help build through the draft on offense.

• Atlanta trades 1st rounder to Arizona for 2nd rounder and 4th rounder
- The Cardinals move up to grab one of the quarterbacks, while Atlanta moves back and get another pick to help on the defensive side of the ball.

Round 1

1. Kansas City- Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia
- The Chiefs with a new regime, take the best QB in the draft.

2. Jacksonville- Star Loueteli, DE/NT, Utah
- Going to the 3-4, the Jags take the best defensive lineman on the board.

3. Miami- Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M
- The Dolphins add the best OT in the draft to protect Tannehill.

4. Philadelphia- DeMontre Moore, OLB, Texas A&M
- Going to the 3-4, the Eagles go with a pass-rusher on the outside.

5. Detroit- Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State
- The Lions take a DE to replace the two DE's they have reaching FA.

6. Cleveland- Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
- Again, 3-4 defense. Browns go with a pass rusher.

7. Arizona- Eric Fisher, OT, Central Michigan
- Cardinals take Fisher, keep Massie at LT, and protect whoever at QB.

8. Buffalo- Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
- The Bills add another WR to join Graham, Chandler, and Johnson.

9. Tampa Bay- Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama
- Bucs move up over the Titans to grab the best CB in the draft.

10. Tennessee- Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
- The Titans add Warmack to help revamp the running game.

11. San Diego- Jonathan Banks, CB, Mississippi State
- The Chargers have multiple CB's hitting FA. Banks can help ease that pain

12. Oakland- Jarvis Jones, OLB, Georgia
- Jones falls, and the Raiders take him to help their pass rushing woes.

13. New York Jets- Ziggy Ansash, OLB, BYU
- The Jets move back and take Ansah to be their pass rushing OLB

14. Carolina- Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
- After passing on Cox, Panthers take a big DT who can get to the QB.

15. New Orleans- Jonathan Hankins, DE/NT, Ohio State
- The Saints could use a nose tackle. Hankins could do that or play DE.

16. St. Louis- Kenny Vaccaro, S, Texas
- The Rams could use another safety, and Vaccaro might be the best.

17. Pittsburgh- Matt Elam, S, Florida
- The Steelers can also use a S who can replace Troy and/or Clark.

18. Dallas-Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
- Going to the 4-3, the Cowboys will need another pass rusher, even if Spencer stays.

19. New York Giants- Lane Johnson, OT, Oklahoma
- The Giants can use another offensive tackle to keep Eli up.

20. San Francisco- Shariff Floyd, DE, Florida
- The 49ers could use someone on that frontline. Floyd could be that guy.

21. Cincinnati- Alec Ogletree, OLB, Georgia
- Bengals have a ton of LB's reaching FA. Ogletee could play ILB and OLB.

22. St. Louis- Keenan Allen, WR, California
- Rams get their weapon for Sam Bradford. Allen could be a #1 WR.

23. Minnesota- Cordelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee
- Opposite of Percy Harvin, the Vikings can use another WR to help Ponder

24. Indianapolis- Jonathan Cooper, OG, North Carolina
- Colts could use help to protect Andrew Luck and open a running game.

25. Seattle-Dion Jordan, DE, Oregon
- The Seahawks saw Clemons go down. They need a pass rusher at DE.

26. Buffalo- Mike Glennon, QB, North Carolina State
- Bills move up for the eventual replacement of Ryan Fitzpatrick.

27. Houston- John Jenkins, NT, Georgia
- The Texans pick Jenkins to play NT in their 3-4 set.

28. Denver- Manti Te’o, ILB, Notre Dame
- Keith Brooking was on the field for the Broncos. Enough said.

29. New England- Bennie Logan, DT, LSU
- Pats need some help on the defensive line, and Logan has a ton of upside.

30. Arizona- Matt Barkley, QB, USC
- The Cardinals take a QB of the future in Barkley

31. Baltimore- Kevin Minter, ILB, LSU
- The Ravens need a linebacker to replace the retiring Ray Lewis

Not bad at all, but I would rather go with a guy like McDonald in the 3rd over Manuel.

You mean the exact guy we signed last off-season in Dwan Edwards?

Warmack is a popular player in mocks for the titans, but I'd be pretty shocked if this turns out to be the pick in April.

In the 2nd, Poyer is a very good CB but CB is not as big of a need as what people think. We have McCourty who we just resigned and still have Verner. Poyer would be an ok selection, but I think you need to address the defensive line here.

I am not much of a fan of Goodman or Hill at all really.

We also desperately need safety help

Hankins is not a bad pick but the Saints plan to play Bunkley at NT. So Dion Jordan makes more sense.

In the third, I would take Da'Rick Rogers and Leon McFadden in the fourth.

Nice Packers draft, but no way Patton drops that far.

Justin Hunter @ 8?? What the hell just happened.

And then we give up 2nd and 3rd rnd picks (which we need!) for Glennon so we can waste 3 years on his failures.

I would want to shoot shomeone with this draft.

With Justin Hunter, I think the Bills need another WR, and of all the WR's in this draft, I think Hunter is the best of the bunch. Ryan Fitzpatrick isn't anything special, but some of the #2 WR's lined him opposite of Johnson have been average or below average. Before his injury, Hunter was well on his way to becoming an elite draft pick.

As for the trade. The Bills don't have that many needs to me. I live in the upper NY area, so I've seen them play, and in my opinion, I think they can use another pass-rusher and another linebacker, both you can find in free agency. Mike Glennon could be a good QB. I think he can really throw the ball. Is he right today? I'm not sure, but I think you can bring him in and he could become a starting quarterback, so for a 2nd and a 3rd, I don't think that's crazy to move up and get him.

Barkley doesn't fit Arians/Moore offense at all, Wilson would have been perfect

I believe Richardson would be filling a role already adequately filled by Dwan Edwards, and picking him would once again leave us with no nose tackle.

I like the Bears trade down in the first! 1st round solid, 2nd round I would argue that DE isn't a large need since we drafted Shae in the 1st last year, have Peppers, Wooten coming off of an 8 sack season and hopefully will resign Isreal Idonije. Maybe one of Long or the Syracuse OL.. Emery has made it clear he will be pretty much going BPA, so I wouldn't be suprised to see a WR with the talent that is left there in the 2nd.

I like the first and third round picks for Baltimore. Their second and fourth round picks are toxic.

Seattle

Like the Dion Jordan pick if he can play standing up some. Leroy Hill just got busted again for spousal abuse so an olb is pretty high up on the wish list.

Kyle Long definitely gets my attention because i think he could play guard right away and probably tackle down the road.

I could live with that Vkings draft for sure. Not getting a CB in the first 4 rounds, especially with how badly Jefferson played down the stretch would be somewhat worrying, maybe switch out Boyd for one as going with three dlineman in the first four rounds is somewhat overkill even with Carradine coming off injury, but great job overall.

Man I'd love Will Davis in the 3rd. Don't see the need for an OLB in the 4th. Rob Jackson really stepped up with Orakpo out and will make a great rotational player with Orakpo back healthy.

I like the Packers draft, though I worry it's a little too Offense-focused. Can't really argue with the individual picks, though!

My .02: That Bills mock is attrocious (maybe my spelling too...), putrid and flat out horrible. Hunter at 8 is a big stretch, no huge stretch. Glennon, maybe not so unreasonable, but Williams in the 4th? They have drafted 3 OT's in the last 3 years who they like, 2 of which have started and handled it. I dont see how they could take him over a guy like Jamie Collins who is exactly what they need at LB (I dont see him lasting till the 4th, but if he did...). They would lose all credibility with the fan base and maybe within the league with this draft.

I don't see us drafting a WR that early unless it is an incredible steal. Give us Jelani Jenkins in the third. McFadden or Robey in the 4th would be fine.

interesting mock for Atlanta. I love the trade back. interesting that it still netted okafor. LOVE the Kelce pick. Pugh I'm very lukewarm on but he's value there. Buchanon is too. Love the Menelik Watson pick as a long term OT backup. overall great job.
