Glen Coffee is not a stand-up dude. He's a religious nutjob with a hard-on for guns.

He said he quit football to "glorify christ and serve god." He planned to become a minister...but he never kicked his thuggish habit of packing heat. Dude got busted for having a loaded AND COCKED pistol in his center console.

Also, I don't know that I have ever heard of anyone fully recovering their playing form after having microfracture surgery on a knee. I think this has to do with professional athletes being such hard workers. If they do not sit on their ass for several months they do irreparable damage after having microfracture, and they almost always try coming back too soon.

Good teammate and friend....

Quote:
49ers OLB Ahmad Brooks allegedly assaulted teammate Lamar Divens on June 8.
Brooks allegedly struck Divens three times in the head with a beer bottle, and then punched him in the face during an argument over car keys outside Brooks' home. Divens, a journeyman defensive tackle, was left bloodied and needed three stitches. The alleged attack was witnessed by two other 49ers, rookies Mike Purcell and Lawrence Okoye. At the time, Divens said he wanted to press charges and a warrant for Brooks was issued. Divens has since changed his mind and now the District Attorney is debating whether to press charges. The 49ers gave Brooks a six-year, $37 million contract last year despite off-field issues dating back to his time with the Bengals and at the University of Virginia.

None of these things make him a thug or a nut job. His gun charge was dropped after it was found the pistol was properly secured according to Florida law.

Wouldn't it be nice if everyone would just respect other peoples beliefs?

Score another one for quick ACL recovery. I don't think many people would call Scott Chandler a physical freak outside of his height, and he's going to be a full go for training camp after a Week 16 tear.

At this point, it's become pretty obvious that recovering from an ACL injury "way ahead of schedule" is the rule rather than the exception, possibly because the timetable is very generous. Wes Welker returned from a Week 17 tear as well, and, like Chandler, he's hardly known for his superior genetic gifts. Philip Rivers also played through a torn ACL in the playoffs and was back by the first week of the following season. All of the hype for guys like Adrian Peterson and Robert Griffin has pretty clearly been an attempt to aggrandize beloved players since basically everyone has been able to do the same thing. When's the last time anyone has missed substantial time in the following season due to an ACL tear?

It's just how it is these days, and I am quite glad for it because we have a couple of polar opposites for depth and neither offer as much as Chandler.

Hoping Heath Miller can do it too

Mendenhall had a rough time coming back from his week 16 tear

I know it's a different sport and all but Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls tore his ACL in 2012 and he is STILL not back to playing.

Seems to me that it would be harder to recover and try to play football rather than basketball, but that is not the case with Mr. Rose so far.

Rose was cleared to play for months but just kept sitting on the bench in a suit. Here is his quote

Quote:
"I'm not a selfish guy at all, but having this injury and going through what I had to go through and being smart, it's something that I had to be selfish with," he said. "I couldn't worry about anyone else but myself and my health."
I'm not sure if they are even allowed to do this, but I would have stopped paying him. He was cleared by the team to play and he made the choice to not play. You choose not to play, I choose not to pay.

Thank God. He is no world beater but he will help out EJ a lot over the middle if he is named the starter.

Can't remember where I posted it, but I said months ago that the kid has real issues and I worry about the team that drafts him and worry about him as well.

Oh, and 49ers fans. Colin Kaepernick has created a new fashion trend. Maybe you should buy some of these hats.

Why would 49ers fans buy Dolphins caps? That doesn't make any sense.

Because your QB was wearing it :P

(why was a starting pro QB wearing it?)

Yup, lost a ton of respect in him last year. Made me question whether he has what it takes to ever take the team to a championship.
Oh hey look, a guy who has absolutely no idea what Rose was going through. Rose actually has a pretty bad social anxiety disorder, so I'm pretty sure that the increased pressure along with coming off of a torn ACL near the playoffs was a bit much for him. Especially given how he plays.

As long as he wears the right color on Sundays, plays well, and doesn't offend anyone personally, he can wear what he pleases.

Wasn't your boy Tom Brady spotted wearing a Yankee's cap a few years back?
