I read it on Dead Spin last week. Seems like a non issue right now because it's just accusations and no pics were leaked yet. But I did read on another forum that they are swingers anyway so considering my source there that's got to be 100% truth.

While he was recovering from injuries....

No in all seriousness, I really don't see the point in getting married if you're already cheating.

He'd better hope he got a pre-nup

This was actually predicted to happen. There was a rumor swirling that the 49ers didn't know about Eric Wright's DUI until after the Bucs traded him.

I don't see how not having Eric Wright on the roster necessarily makes us worse. He wasn't even that good to begin with, especially in the slot.

Niners traded for dback help, rumor about wanting to cut db that player would replace, then that player gets cut....

The Niners secondary is an issue - this story is just an example of that.

I thought this story is an example of the 49ers offseason getting worse? Wasn't that your original point?

Again, I don't see how the 49ers cutting a knucklehead who wasn't that great of a corner to begin with makes the 49ers offseason noticeably worse. Especially when he was on the fringe to make the roster in the first place. For all we know San Francisco was just covering their ass because they didn't know about the DUI until after the trade happened.

I thought it was kinda funny that Harbaugh had that little comment about the Seahawks PED issues and the 49ers being "above reproach." And then they go and trade for a PED user.

Also, as far as the Niners not knowing about the arrest.

UPDATE: Niners general manager Trent Baalke said in a press release that the team did its due diligence in acquiring Wright.

"We are pleased to add Eric to our team," Baalke said. "As an organization, we have done our due diligence and anticipate Eric working hard to contribute to the 49ers."

A team source told Matt Barrows of The Sacramento Bee that Bucs GM Mark Dominik told Baalke about Wright's recent arrest before the trade was finalized.

Yeah, how do we know this isn't just a front to save face though? You really think the organization is going to come out and admit they didn't do their homework on a player like Wright? Not exactly good PR.

Bottom line is that they added Wright because they aren't happy with Rogers, and now they don't have Wright.

They added a guy who was absolutely terrible the past two years, lost one of the best FS in the league and replaced him with a rookie, and the last they've seen of Culliver was getting torched.

Call me biased, but am I wrong?

The Broncos will go 2-2 in this first 4 games, or better, and will finish 11-5 or 12-4 and make the playoffs..... and the Miller suspension will be almost forgotten.

Does anyone not trust this HGH "baseline" test every player is going to take this training camp?

The NFL is just going to file way the results until they can suspend a bunch of guys. I assume HGH is very prevalent in the NFL so I'd rather not know honestly.

AHahah, baseline test. Everyone takes it HGH, what baseline are you trying to establish?

Take a wee bit more and bam everyone knows you are doing it, while the guy next to you took a little less.

The Ravens are moving Bryan Hall from DT to ILB this year. Has anyone else done that? WAs it a success? He put up freak #s in his pro day at 295 pounds so it will be interesting to see him at 250 like he is now.

Where did you hear that the 49ers aren't happy with Carlos Rogers and that they added Wright because of that reason?

The only rumor that swirled around the last few days is Jason Cole "hearing" that the 49ers might release Rogers because of his salary. Adding Wright doesn't necessarily mean they're dissatisfied with Rogers as a player though. It could be anything. San Francisco might simply want more competition in the backfield. Asomugha for instance, isn't guaranteed a spot either. How do we know it wasn't him they had changed their tune about?

dont really see eric wright mattering at all. he was probably a longshot to make the roster anyways. the 49ers are ridiculously deep at corner with Rogers, Namdi, Brown, Culliver, Brock and Cox. Theyve got 4 legitimate starters and 2 backups that can play. Low risk move, nothing lost, just trying to keep things competitive.

And I dont see the tough 49ers offseason. Losing Crabtree hurt, and so did losing Goldson, but they got a great package of draft picks for Alex Smith, brought in a lot of young talent in the draft, got Anquan Boldin in a trade for practically nothing. Made some nice FA signings like Glenn Dorsey, Phil Dawson and Nhamdi. To me, the 49ers are doing a great job of building themselves to be dominant for the long haul.

Yeah the only thing that bites is Crabtree getting hurt and maybe Goldson leaving, but that's it. We brought in a lot of young talent like you said and got some quality free agents. I'm actually excited and looking forward to the season.

Maybe Tedy Bruschi? I remember him as a DL at U of Arizona and then the Pats made him an LB. Not sure if he was an ilb or olb though. Wanna say he was an ilb. Was a boss though.
