Default Which notable players are on your team's roster bubble?

Which players on your team's roster bubble could you see failing to make the 53-man roster, particularly those who could draw interest from other teams? Here are a few guys I wouldn't be shocked to see left off of New England's final roster (players in bold are players I am projecting to make the cut at this point):

QB Ryan Mallett

RB Brandon Bolden

RB Jonas Gray

WR Josh Boyce

OG Dan Connolly

OG Jon Halapio

DT Tommy Kelly

DT Joe Vellano

DT Jerel Worthy

DE Jake Bequette

DE Will Smith

LB Darius Fleming

FS Tavon Wilson

SS Nate Ebner

SS Jemea Thomas

Titans-
Mark Mariani
Moises Fokou
Colin McCarthy
Lavar Edwards
Antonio Johnson
Michael Preston

I'd love to keep Mariani on the Tits and I think Lavar Edwards is a good player, just not in the new 3-4. I think they are all decent depth players regardless.

How has Cam Fleming looked? I had him as a 2nd RD OT.

Its funny, but i had no idea you were a redskins fan lol

For the steelers its:

Justin Brown (awful, just a TC hero)

Martavis Bryant (probably will make the roster but not dress for games)

Other than that, no real surprises. Mccullers has been a pleasant surprise, Id say Mike Adams and Cam Thomas should be out right cut but they will make the team.

Landry Jones might not make it, since hes everything thats bad about Blaine Gabbert and nothing thats good about anyone

Not many notables for the Packers

Chris Harper probably not going to make it. Not much to say there. He is fighting with Myles White, Janis, Alex Gillett, Gerrard Sheppard, and Kevin Dorsey, for the final WR slot. If they keep six WR, White and Janis would be my expectation for the final two slots.

Though I haven't heard any rumblings I have to believe it is going to be tough keeping Kuhn again. Lacy, Starks, and Harris are locks especially with Harris showing some ability to handle kickoffs. Rajion Neal looks like a guy that probably won't make it through waivers to the PS. I guess some team might be interested in Kuhn if cut.

At TE I guess Ryan Taylor could be considered notable. I've no doubt he be picked up if cut. Has decent enough hands, is a good blocker, and is a quality special teamer, but is not going to threaten the seam. TE is just really crowded right now. I think if it were me and it came down to it I'd keep Taylor as an extra TE and let Kuhn go. Taylor can do most of what Kuhn does and provides more on ST. Then the awful FB dive could be expunged from the playbook.

You might say Flynn and Tolzien are on the bubble. They haven't given any indication whether they'd be willing to carry three QBs, but have not historically. Tolzien has shown improvement but not sure if it will be enough for Thompson and McCarthy to cut the security blanket.

He is a fan favorite but has a limited skill set. He's good third down pass blocker and will do the dirty work on ST, but doesn't scare anyone as a ball carrier or out of the backfield as a receiver. If they feel Rajion Neal can clear waviers to the PS then he likely stay, but they might need to make a tough choice. They've also expressed that they want Lacy to become more of a three down back. If that happens then Kuhn's role would be even more diminished.

Also keep in mind that the last two offseasons a few fans have felt Kuhn was on the bubble due to these very same reasons but he's stuck.

Coleman, Pryor and Lockette probably going to be ok. The others are in trouble. I would think Mayowa and Bates would get picked up pretty quick.

I'd like the Jags to take a swing at Benson Mayowa and Derrick Coleman, if released. We really have nothing at FB and Mayowa fits the prototype LEO skillset.

We appreciate Jarrett Boykin still.
And who let DuJuan Harris go for us? Jags too, or Steelers?

Christian Ponder. If you're the 3rd string QB and you don't see a snap in the second preseason game, that's not a good sign.

On a slightly differant topic I think teams should release guys sooner than later if they know they aren't going to make the team. I realize there are always injuries and possibility of trades but give the guys a chance to make a ballclub.

Disagree with Johnson and Patton. Lloyd, i could see us cutting him then re-signing after week 1 so his salary isn't guaranteed. We'll probably go heavy at WR with 6 or maybe even 7 if you count Kassim Osgood, who's ST contributions are invaluable (but another candidate to be cut and re-signed after week 1).

Just read on Rotoworld that Alan Branch is on the Bills' roster bubble after recently being arrested. The dots would connect to Jacksonville with Gus Bradley. And NT is the only spot on the D-line we didn't reinforce this offseason and Roy Miller isn't that good.

They only dressed 4 WRs last season, so if you don't dress on gamedays you're "on the bubble" IMO.

If the FO feels Lloyd is a better option than Stevie, who gets cut?

Johnson, Lloyd, and Patton aren't ST contributors. It's seems likely that TWO of Johnson, Lloyd, Patton, Osgood get cut.

Da’Quan Bowers is not going to make it. And whats crazy is I haven't seen one play in the NFL to show me why this guy was ever talked about as a top 10 pick.

I'd still be interested in Bowers. Maybe that's because the Patriots signed Will Smith, though, a guy who hasn't been good since the Bush administration.
