I got a lot!
now my bench is another story. I'm at 5 guys now which is about the limit I want to be at. I expect all 5 of these guys to be up at some point this year though. Taveras probably has the harder path just because the Cards have everything pretty much well in order on their ML club.

Chris Archer isn't a very good prospect, I don't understand the point.

He's a top rated prospect who is close to big league ready. There's 2 arms in the Rays rotation I don't completely trust to stick all season
Ther'es higher guys who are years away. I'm looking for guys who are close to contributing now

I got 3 high end prospects who are expected to be up this year as well. I'm happy with my minor leaguers. I almost took Skaggs as well to really piss off Fenikz. I can't believe he took Walker over Skaggs.

I would have taken Hultzen as my last prospect since I expect him up this season but he went a few picks before I was up

I might not take any minor leaguers and still kick all of your asses for the next 3 years.

Don't we have to keep a minimum of prospects?

I was really considering not taking any until very late. But I like Hultzen a lot. And I feel like his value, or draft status, is down because of his AAA numbers last year which I expect to obviously get much better.

I don't think we said that. I wrote in the league rules post that it's simply "suggested" that we have 3 to 5 of them.
At least in-season, I don't see that as a requirement.
I'll draft some eventually.

I felt the same, and then I saw Jose Fernandez falling toward me in the 20th and got super excited to draft him. When Fenikz took him, my prospect trigger finger was still itchy with DeShields...

As we get closer to round 25 here, allow me to say that I intensely dislike that we only get to keep 25 guys each year and not just our whole squads.

It's possible I'd reconsider, but I feel like rosters will get too stale. I want there to be some semblance of a draft at the end of each season and unless you guys *really* prove that you like to trade and swap players around regularly to keep rosters in flux, then we should all be OK with tossing 10 veterans back into the draft pool each offseason.

We should do a small minor league draft every year after this. So whatever prospects are avilable at the end of 2013 including the guys that were just drafted.

I would prefer some type of draft... I mean what happens when new prospects come into play and older players retire.

The trouble with that is it's not a free market for drafting anymore. If there's one top prospect and everyone will want him, then he'll go to the guy with the #1 prospects draft pick. If prospects are simply part of the full draft pool, more people have a shot — they just need to weigh how high of a pick to commit.
Let's just see how this season plays out a little bit and we'll determine what will work best.

Also, any players taken in the annual June MLB Draft will not be eligible to be put on a roster during the same season. They'll all be included in the following draft (be it a prospects draft or a regular one).

Yeah we can figure it out after we see how this season goes.
I can't believe it's not even March yet and we're about 2/3 finished with a baseball draft.

If we'd started 2 days later, I wouldn't have been stuck with Curtis "Broken Arm" Granderson.

With a month to go before the games begin a lot of injuries are going to get people pissed.

Also just to let you know that you Everth Cabrera listed under my team in the selection thread. I took Biggest Doucher Ever last pick not Cabrera.

Fixed. I'm half paying attention sometimes cause I'm conducting this draft while at work much of the time.
