What's the Deal w/ Tank Carradine?

In the end, I love Tank as a player. I hear a lot of people compare him to JPP based on the JC transfer both from the Jayhawk conference that went to a college in Florida, both similar size DEs.

This is a bad comparison, I think he's best compared to Justin Tuck. He doesn't get off the LOS extremely fast, but has good athleticism, strength and agility. He can likely play inside on passing downs like Tuck also. I saw him go over the guard several times on tape, but he's a guy that played on the right and left sides. I think he may be more natural at strongside DE in the pros, but he can provide depth at either early on in his career.

Ultimately, the guys going to be a late first to middle 2nd round pick. I'd be shocked if he lasted longer than that.

Okay, understood. But IMHO, I don't believe he is a top 10 player. There isn't that one elite quality I see. Doesn't mean he can't be very good.

I don't think he was a top 10 player, but I do think he was a top 20 selection had he stayed healthy.

To me, a top 10 sure-fure pick is Julius Peppers, Mario Williams. Those are guys that would go top 10 any year.

I think when people say top 10 pick, they are comparing him the other DEs in this class who are projected to go top 10. If healthy, he would have competed for the #1 DE spot in this class, which probably equates to a top 10 selection
