Default What Makes Player A Better Than Player B

This is a thread where we discuss what makes someone ranked ahead of another better.

I'll start it off. What makes Dee Milliner better than Xavier Rhodes? Especially considering the drop off(Milliner being a top 10 talent and Rhodes a top 20)

(Don't point out the obvious player A being better than player B rankings)

Weird, I was just thinking about this while responding to a mock draft thread. I think they are pretty much dead equal. Rhodes is the better value in this draft. No hate on Milliner either.

How about Ansah vs. C.Washington?

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Rhodes goes ahead of Milliner, I think the classic sediment is that Bama produces great #2 corners (low-medium ceiling, high floor) , but never those true shut down type guys (usually because they play a lot of zone and aren't crazy shutdown man type guys, and Saban loves his DBs to be great tacklers/ball hawks).

If I've learned anything over the past 10+ years of following the draft it's that big tall corners, that can run always get drafted higher than they should.

I'd go as far to say I'd take Rhodes and Trufant over Dee

I'll take Dee's tool kit

Only problem with Bama Cbs, is it will take 2 years for them to really make an impact. They play cover 3 and press man. Never need to back peddle, just flip open the hips and shuffle out, or open hips and run with your man.

I'm hearing that in this year's draft, the difference between the #5 pick and the 25th pick, is rather negligible. Nothing is fixed in stone and an awful lot of shocks could be coming on draft day.
The depth of this year's draft is amazing, plenty of round 2-4 talent that is likely to become starters.
