I don't know why everyone automatically assumes that Fluker isn't a fit to play in a zone scheme.

1. He played in a zone scheme at Alabama

2. He's a much better athlete than a guy like Tyson Clabo, who was a pro bowler at RT for Atlanta in a zone scheme

Playing in a college ZBS, surrounded by 1st and 2nd round draft picks, is not the same as playing in a pro ZBS where the defense is extremely fast and quick. It is a whole different ballgame.
Neither Warmack nor Fluker can play in that scheme and be anywhere near as effective if they played in another blocking system. Nobody is saying they can never play in a ZBS but it would drop them a notch in their grading.

Keep in mind we have never seen a 335lbs Fluker moving around on tape.

His game film he is 350-370lbs.

Now that he has dropped the baby fat and is in a professional strength and conditioning program I think you will see him moving much better.

Exactly, the physical gifts are there.

He did run some zone plays at Bama, but more or less they run a lot of man stuff as well.
Could he play in a ZBS? absolutely, but it would be a waste of his talents in my opinion.

You don't need strong man-handlers in a ZBS because your trying to get 4 hands on each down guy before you climb. For that reason, guys like Fisher, Armstead and Johnson are more appealing to these teams. Its all about the type of system the team runs and how they value players. We saw this when the Redskins took Trent Williams over perhaps better OTs because of the system they were planning to run.

That said, Fluker would be an ideal LG in a ZBS (w/Righty QB) as you require your LG to man up the 3 technique a lot of the time, without any help.... especially on naked boots.
