Default My 1st round

I always begin my trek towards creating my official 7 round mock draft that I do every year and try to get picks right. The latest pick I've ever gotten right was CB Ron Brooks to the Bills last year and Anthony Hill TE To the Texans in the 4th round.

Warning: This draft is not based off of group think. That is the common consensus that a certain player is going to be the pick based on the biggest need. This draft is based off of current rumors, projections, and needs of the team. This 1st round does not have trades and is subject to change. I expect backlash from this as I dont even want the Bills pick to happen but I could see it as a legit possibility. No explanations.

1. Kansas City- Dion Jordan DE/OLB Oregon
2. Jacksonville- Shariff Floyd DT Florida
3. Oakland- Luke Joeckel OT Texas A and M
4. Philadelphia- Geno Smith QB West Virginia
5. Detroit- Eric Fisher OT Central Michigan
6. Cleveland- Tavon Austin WR West Virginia
7. Arizona- Lane Johnson OT Oklahoma
8. Buffalo- Kenny Vaccaro S Texas
9. New York Jets- Ezekial Ansah DE/OLB BYU
10. Tennessee Titans- Star Lotulelei DT Utah
11. San Diego Chargers- Jonathan Cooper OG North Carolina
12. Miami Dolphins- D.J Fluker OT Alabama
13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Tyler Eifert TE Notre Dame
14. Carolina Panthers- Sheldon Richardson DT Missouri
15. New Orleans Saints- Xavier Rhodes CB Florida State
16. St. Louis Rams- Chance Warmack OG Alabama
17. Pittsburgh Steelers- DeAndre Hopkins WR Clemson
18. Dallas- Sylvester Williams DT North Carolina
19. New York Giants- Cornelius Carradine DE Florida State
20. Chicago Bears- Alec Ogletree LB Georgia
21. Cincinnati Bengals- Menelik Watson OT Florida State
22. St. Louis Rams(f. Wash)- Johnathan Cyprien S Florida International
23. Minnesota- Manti T’eo LB Notre Dame
24. Indianapolis Colts- Jarvis Jones DE/OLB Georgia
25. Minnesota(f. Seattle)- Desmond Trufant CB Washington
26. Green Bay- Eric Reid S LSU
27. Houston- Robert Woods WR USC
28. Denver- Datone Jones DE/DT UCLA
29. New England Patriots- Justin Pugh OT/OG Syracuse
30. Atlanta Falcons- Bjoern Werner DE Florida State
31. San Francisco- Margus Hunt DE SMU
32. Baltimore- Kevin Minter LB LSU

I can tell you that I wouldn't be shocked if the Bills pulled the trigger on Vaccaro. At the same time, that would put immediate fear in me that we aren't going to re-sign Byrd after next season.

I do believe they have faith in Searcy @ SS so this pick would be highly upsetting to me if we went with it, even though I could see it happening.

There are rumors that Patterson is dropping to late 1st round 2nd round. He is a person who is considered to have bad mental make up who apparently flunked interviews big time at the combine. He also is known as a body catcher with one year of Division one experience. I dont have a problem with Patterson but i'm just going off the rumors that are being circulated.

I have no issue with his play (although I think Brown is better). But multiple suspensions, failed drug tests, and a DUI right before the Combine really turn me off. A guy can get in a lot od trouble and I don't think a multi-million dollar contract is going to help keep his head straight.

Theres a rumor that he would look simply dreamy as a steeler.

Honestly hes dumb but hes not dumber than guys like patrick peterson, mo claiborne, chris johnson, dez bryant, demaryius thomas, felix jones, rob gronkowski...ect. He might not be able to pass a 3rd grade spelling test, but he can run in the open field with te best of them. All Bey-Bey did in college was run go routes, they eased him in with screens, slants, and gos and now hes one of the best in the league just because hes so big, fast, elusive, and a nightmare to tackle...i see patterson as a similar player, just he runs like hes pissed off at the ground

the body catching is a concern, but hes never had a problem with drops in general

If hes there at 17, he'll be a steeler

Hes useless when a hand gets on him, he appears to be all over the place but hes taken out of plays pretty regularly. Hes clumsy in traffic, when a guy like arthur brown is just sexual at weaving magic and getting off blockers

I also forgot Milliner so I placed him at 17, bumped Hopkins to 27 and Woods out of round 1

I like Eifert, but if the Bucs pass on Xavier Rhodes or Sheldon Richardson for him, I might just lose my mind.

Who started these rumors? Jordan's agent? Absolutely ridiculous, the only thing the chiefs definitely do not need is a rush linebacker they have 2 of the best. Never mind the fact that Jordan has enormous bust potential and isn't a premeir pass rusher, which you should be if you're getting top 5 consideration.

I just posted about Vaccaro being a possibility in the Bills team board yesterday, like Baller, I would not be shocked if he is the pick, especially with their rumored interest in Barron last year.
I do however think that after going heavy on D, early in the last couple drafts, and with the needs on offense, that they go offense early and often in this draft, oline (G, possibly T depending on who falls), QB, WR, TE are the most likely postions to be drafted in possibly the first 4 rounds IMO, given their needs and draft depth at those postions.

His frequency and pattern of bad behavior is very disturbing, his play on the field is first round, his behavior is almost virtually undraftable. Worse than Janoris Jenkins IMO, who went in the 2nd and was a better prospect IMO. I dont see how Ogletree goes in the first, the risk factor is just too great. Money does not seem to keep heads straight from what I have seen, only causes more issues. Like Jenkins though, I see him going in the second round.
