Because he can cover TE's, RB's and slot receivers while playing in the box and still be solid in run support. Barron IMO is better in run support and has higher football IQ in general, but Vaccaro's ability in coverage is better. Thats why people have him so high, now-a-days safeties who can cover are a neccessity IMO. I was not high on Vaccaro heading into the offseason, nor for most of the pre-draft hoopla, but he has grown on me recently. Neither of whom do I believe however are top 10 caliber safeties.

I don't buy the Fluker hype to Miami, but I do like him a lot.

Until recently, Projected Sharrif Floyd & Jacksonville. Think about where Caldwell & Bradley come from. Scheme Wise, the 4-3 Under obviously requires a gap penetrating 3-technique. Team just signed Sen'Derrick Marks to a 1 Year deal.

Coming out, Marks had 34+ Inch Arms. Good length. Look at the Seahawks, their emphasis on Length is extreme in some cases. So I do not see Sharrif Floyd w/ 31 3/4 Inch arms being worthy of the 2nd Overall Pick. T-Rex Arms can be dealt w/ if a guy has ELITE quickness. Floyd's a player, but not a Gerald McCoy type penetrator.

Geno Smith to Philadelphia seems logical given Kelly's background w/ mobile Quarterbacks. But I would look into his comments about the NFL Hash Marks. Very revealing.
