Delhomme should definitely be on there.

The only two I agree with are Vick and Grossman.

Please, Eli Manning has to deal with as much pressure as any starting QB in the NFL. He deserves it too, he asked to play in New York, and he got his wish.

That is why I hold ESPN's analysis with a big grain of salt. How is Cutler on there? It is his 2nd season, and he played well last season. That makes no sense. I am a Cowboy fan and I admit Romo should be on there over him. Boy do I wish I had NFL Network. Oh and Eli Manning should be #1 on that list by far.

Eli Manning's seat is made of molten lava. Same goes with a lot of players and coaches on that team.

Eli Manning has to deal with the illusion of pressure moreso than actual pressure imo, thanks to the incessant trash that is the New York media. He's not getting benched, and has to wait one more year for a real head coach he can develop and win with.

Exactly, Eli has pressure, but he is not on the hot seat. If he doesn't play well it'll be blamed on the coach and he'll be given another year. He doesn't have to worry about losing his job yet.

I don't think you can narrowly define being on the "hot seat" as being on the verged of benched of cut. Eli has numerous detractors (obviously) and if the Giants take a dip next year, and he's part of that, you're going to start hearing the B word a whole lot more frequently.

For what they gave up for him merely holding onto his starting spot won't cut it.

no way Big Ben is on the hot seat, after winning a SB and everything he went through plus all of the years that we put up with crap at QB(Slash,Maddox,Neal,Tomzack,ect..) we would not replace Ben. Ben is one of the top QB's in the NFL, no way

Whoever said JP Losman and Big Ben CLEARLY don't know what they are talking about. JP Losman, a project pick to begin with, showed much more promise than many other Qb's out there. Look at his stats, and he shouldn't be on the hot seat this year due to the transformation going on in Buffalo. This is a year in which he doesn't have to prove to be an All-Pro, just prove it's his team. He is in no way losing his job.

Big Ben, a year removed from an injury plagued offseason, 1.5 years from being in the Super Bowl. That off season is directly associated with his lack of conistancy last season. If he stays healthy, which he showed, barring unforseen circumstances (e.g. like last year) they are starting off the season legit playoff contenders. Kid is a natural born leader, proved him self already.

32-11 won/loss record (including 5-1 in the playoffs) as a starting quarterback in the NFL (as of 12/07/06).

Donovan is probably going to inherit the "Peyton Manning" status when it comes to the Super Bowl and when you add in the run that Garcia has, I can see why he's on there.

Grossman and Eli should be in competition for #1, I personally don't think Rex is all that bad (most mistakes are mental and they are usually clumped together, he led them to a SB) but after the performance in the Super Bowl amongst other things, he's got to do well this season. Eli has the expectations and now that the Giants have made 2 straight playoff appearances, he will have to start showing a lot this year.

What about Tony Romo? Moreso than Cutler at the least. I would imagine that Jake Delhomme will have his fair share of pressure.

I think Rex is definately #1. Not only is he fighting to keep his job, he's fighting for a new contract.

Rex is likely #1, because nothing he does can silence the critics and he now has to deal with the prospect of free agency after this year, but I don't think Jake Delhomme is that far off. He's not a young pup and if he's not making plays to offset his mistakes, which are many, then it's not unlikely he'll start looking over his shoulder - not at the current moment, of course, because the Panthers have nothing behind Delhomme.

It will be interesting to see if the Panthers' brass take a QB prospect (and when) in the upcoming 07 Draft. Considering both the general manager and the head coach are fighting for their jobs this year, as they should imo, it's probably best if the next regime comes in and selects their own quarterback (Brian Brohm?).

Joining in with the chorus, but Cutler makes no sense. Yes, they spent a lot of money to upgrade around him, and yes, expectations are higher, but hot seat?

McNabb is on the hot seat. Everyone saw what Garcia did (which granted, was less to do with Garcia, and more to do with Mornhinweg and the supporting cast). But Garcia did guide them into the playoffs, and expectations are that McNabb should elevate. So, I agree with that.

I'd give Losman a break. With McGahee gone, he really only has Evans...

They are in a rebuilding stage.

For arguments sake, what about Schaub? Do Texan fans expect him to me an immediate fix to and big upgrade over Carr or part of a rebuilding process?

While I don't think his job is in jeopardy at all, I could see fans getting restless extremely fast if there isn't drastic improvement. I guess it depends if on if Texan fans view them in a rebuilding mode even after this offseason or a competitive team.

exactly...i wouldnt put him on the hot seat becasue even if he underperforms the team just traded away their good back up QB and GVick is sitting on a huge contract while at the same time he still fills out the stadium. I think his seat is very cold mayb luke warm due to the team deserving to do a lot beter than how they're doing but in now way is he on a hot seat

The only way Vick is on the hot seat is if he really, really struggles in Petrino's offense. Even mediocrity, middle of the road stats as a passer, and his job is safe.

Jay Cutler isnt really on the hot seat.He could be benched during the season if he plays bad but he will be put back into the starting line up by the end of the year.Denver drafted him to be there future.

Of course Cutler is on the hot seat. They got rid of Plummer - a successful QB who led them to playoffs and they are legit SB contenders now. They have no back up of note so Cutler cant afford to have a bad year or the Bronco's will fail. Their window of opportunity to win the thing is now.

Its not a criticism of Cutler but the Bronco's have alot riding on his year
