Neither OJ Simpson nor Jimmy Johnson won a Super Bowl.
Walter Payton won a Super Bowl because of a great defense, without a great quarterback. Mike Haynes' Super Bowl-winning Raiders had a good defense and the 3rd-ranked scoring offense in the NFL. (Oh, and a Hall of Fame running back in his prime - Marcus Allen.)
Barry Sanders was on lousy teams, and when Deion got a ring in 1994 it was on a San Fransisco team led by a peaking Steve Young and with a running back who arguably should be in the Hall in Ricky Watters. I'm not necessarily saying that he should be, but there are plenty of folks who make the case for him. When Deion got a ring in 1995 he was playing for the Dallas team that included Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, and another Hall of Fame running back in Emmitt Smith. Deion was a mercenary. He got his two rings by joining the two most-stacked rosters in the NFL.
LaDainian Tomlinson may never have made it to the Super Bowl, but neither has Champ. Neither have AP or Revis. So of all the players here, the only one, cornerback or running back, who won a Super Bowl without a notable quarterback was Walter Payton. And the cornerbacks who won Super Bowls had great running backs on their teams as well.
