Default Breakup of the NCAA Looming? SEC, B12, ACC Commissioners Call for Major Changes

http://www.sbnation.com/college-foot...-commissioners

The article is too long and cumbersome to C&P.

Here is a gem from from the B12 Commissioner:

Quote:
A step further than Slive last week, Big 12's Bowlsby calls for a new "federation" within NCAA - perhaps for fb only - of large FBS schools.
Something like that is long, long overdue. Lets be honest, of the 124 FBS level schools, any given year there are probably less than 20 programs actually capable of winning a MNC. While a majority of the other programs stay in FBS to make money from bowl and TV deals, or just flat out steal money from the power schools of their conferences (referring to teams like Indiana, Duke, Iowa State, etc).

I honestly wouldn't be shocked if within 10 years there isn't a glorified NFL minor league formed from about 30-40 schools who leave their conference affiliations behind for CFB.
