dude please. we always wait for the courts to decide before we do anything. besides we threw away a national championship by kicking Ryan Perrilloux of the team for less than this. so don't act like LSU is the exception to the rule and everyone else are hardcore disciplinarians.

Ryan Perrilloux likely did a whole bunch more than sucker punch someone whilst on probation. He just didn't get officially caught by the police.

If you think Les would have kicked off RP for smoking some weed and missing some meetings, you are crazy.

We suspended our best player for something internal for two games, yet Les Miles feels it's appropriate to allow Jeremy Hill back after all of his problems. I've always hated Les (started when he was at OSU, since I'm from Norman), but this just reinforces my hatred. Won't deny he's a great coach, but his morals and character I put into question.

Ryan Perrilloux was the difference between winning and losing a MNC?

a QB that knew the offense in and out and was a top 5 player at his position? yeah. instead we had a true freshman and a Harvard reject. we still had a top 5 defense.

He was on his second offense and reportedly had trouble learning it in the first place which is why Matt Flynn beat him out in 2007. I don't even believe for half a second that he knew the offense in and out. He may have been a top recruit but then again so wasn't Xavier Lee.

you're crazy if you think miles is going to play an underclassmen over a senior. besides hard to say it's a bad thing he didn't beat out a national championship QB. besides he beat Tennessee that year without his index finger on his throwing hand.

There's really no use in arguing with some people about ethics and morals Bert. They'll always say how wrong other teams are for not suspending some one for life for any little thing. But if it's someone on their team, their eyes all of a sudden shut tight. It's just the way people are.

Maybe you're disillusioned by the "win at all costs" mentality they have in the south, but most fans don't just shut their eyes when someone on their team gets in trouble. I'd actually go as far as to say that LSU and Alabama are the only two fanbases in which the majority of their fans don't believe their players should be punished for committing crimes.

For getting in a bar fight? Not at all. Suspension, sure but kicking someone off the team for a 15 second clip of an entire night is ridiculous. You don't know what happened leading up to the punch.

I still haven't met a fan upset over Les letting Perrilloux off the team.

The Division 2 college I attended revoked a basketball scholarship (for a D1 level player, so big time D2 signing) for a similar incident. I don't think it's wrong to expect Division 1 schools to have similar ethics.

Said this when I was a senior in HS and will say it now. HS Seniors dating and being sexually active with HS Freshmen is repulsive.

Didn't say he wouldn't play him, just said he wouldn't be the difference in winning a National Championship. He had the physical tools but from the moment Miles ran off Jimbo Fisher he was screwed from a developmental standpoint and was never going to come close to his ceiling under Gary Crowton.

I love this reasoning. It happens all the time so no big deal. Thousands of people drive drunk every day so a guy getting a DUI is no big deal. There are millions of cases of domestic violence in the United States each year, so if my favorite player punches his girlfriend, no big deal. She probably had it coming anyways.

Tom Osborne certainly approves of this logic.

How does hitting a woman and hitting a drunk at a bar mean the same thing? Jesus, you people and your extremes.

he was suspended from all team activities since April. that's repercussions last time I checked. y'all acting like he needs to get 25-life. judge extended his probation. if he went to jail he's off the team. blame the judge not miles or anyone else.

I'll blame the culture of the state and it's ******** legal system along with Les Miles for not implementing any sense of morality or discipline into his program. If he committed THAT probation violation and wasn't a football player he'd be in prison for months. Hell in Florida, James Wilder Jr. got time in jail for blowing a .01 BAC while on probation for a charge far less serious than Statutory Rape.
