I mean, we can't put any accountability on the QB or anything...

How about fines for the highest paid players in the game for putting their teammates in danger instead of done of the lowest paid players for doing their ******* job?

Kaep only got me 14 points this week. He's killing my fantasy team.

I got him bc I thought he'd run and get me yards as a runner. He's not doing that anymore. What a waste of a draft pick.

Kaep has multiple issues going against him right now:

1. He's a 1 read qb. He was able to get away with it in the past bc of incredible scheming and play calling and his arm is so huge he can just rifle it into any window, but now teams are keying in on his primary and forcing him to his left to make him throw inaccurately off balance. He needs to do a better job with progression reading. He makes his presnap read and goes with it no matter what.

2. Teams are scheming to make him go left and his accuracy and running ability are greatly hindered when he goes to his left.

3. He's incapable of touch passes. That limits his passing options bc teams know he won't hit you with that touch pass into certain windows.

4. That wind up. Couple his wind up with his tendency to make 1 read that he diagnosed presnap and defenses can converge onto the ball when they sell him a read before the snap.

5. He's afraid to run it for some reason. Part of what makes him deadly is his ability to scramble but he's taking it away from his own game. He needs to run more to open up some passing lanes for himself.

6. Teams are taking the run option away from him in the read option and forcing him to make some throws that he's just not making right now.

7. Players. He has no one on the outside.

Kaep has struggled. It's not like he didn't struggle last season. Anyone remember the 1st half of the Super Bowl? Hawks game late last year? How about losing to the Rams in OT?

He's been high and low alot. Combine that immature streakiness with injuries to Crabtree, Manningham, and Vernon Davis, a lack of utilizing the power run game, and defenses attack of the designed QB keeper.

They've all added up to a big speed bump. Kaep can look uncomfortable and it can effect his accuracy. Inconsistent accuracy doesn't work well when your receivers are struggling to create separation.

Kaep just needs to play instead of forcing things, and the game plans need to remember the the O-Line + Frank Gore is a beautiful thing.

I think another problem is we kind of anointed him without letting him go through the growth curve that all young qbs face.

He had less starts than RG3, Wilson and Luck coming into this year.

Now his flaws are coming out. Will he adjust? That's the true test of any developing qb, how they adjust to the adjustments made to them. Some fail and never bounce back, the great ones bounce back.

We have to see Kaep make that adjustment.

I just dislike the "no matter what." He does need to work on his progressions but don't make it seem like his never made great plays by going through his progressions. Hell, even his TD to Davis last night wasn't his 1st read.

He's sabotaged himself alot, as well. There have been many occasions where he still had a relatively clean pocket and went left by his choosing. I hope he gets more comfortable simply stepping up into the pocket before bailing backside.

Agree with certain windows, disagree with "incapable." Big pass to Boldin to set up a TD last night was a beautiful touch pass. Where he struggles using touch are in his short throws and his intermediate throws to the center of the field. That should come with experience and greater trust in his receivers.

I always thought the windup critique to be overblown. I feel that it looks like a huge windup because he awkwardly opens his left arm when he throws. Nearly every QB keeps their non-throwing arm at their side or curled across their chest. Kaep opens his completely. It makes it look like his throwing motion is longer than it actually is.

"Afraid?" I dunno, but he has definitely shown a hesitation to simply take the yardage given to him.

This is true. Gets overblown how much the team actually used the R/O, though. The Packers playoff game oversold the notion. But the defense has gotten stronger against their running from the pistol and "diamond" as well.

Certainly can't hurt to get Crabtree and Manningham back.

Long overdue. It's been clear for a while that he was no good, and that the excuses wouldn't hold up.

No matter what may have been too harsh. But he does have a very bad tendency to lock into his presnap read.

Not using touch on his intermediate passes is narrowing his windows, that is something he has to work on. He's similar to Byron Leftwich in that way, Lefty had similar problems and part of the issue was his windup forced him to use more velocity to make up for DBs breaking on the ball. Kaep is going to have a similar problem bc of his windup. It's not overblown, it's a legit problem, it's a pretty big wind up.

Not on Leftwich/Tebow level, but a windup is a windup.

I think Kaep can work on his game and improve, it's obviously very early in his career. I expect him to improve. But I think we may have had higher expectations for him this season than what he will realistically achieve.

At least far too soon. Still only has 14 starts, including playoffs.

Yeah I think fans need to get off his back a little. I heard people in San Fran are already calling him a 1 year wonder, and are clamoring for Alex Smith again. Really? Give the guy a break, he's still developing. He still didn't even have 16 starts yet.

For fantasy purposes I'm being selfish, but from a pure football perspective you gotta let the guy grow and accept the growing pains that come with that.

I'm done with Sam Bradford. There's no 'there' there.
He's holding back a team that should be much more competitive.

I'm done with Bradford too. He was one of my favorite qb prospects to come out in awhile but let's just call it what it is. He sucks.

He's not going to turn the corner.

bbd, I can't account for WR drops or I'd go there but I can say he will not make a bad decision or throw until roughly 16 seasons from now.
