I'm not opposed to letting Dominick go at this point. Yea and my whole point is I'm not "at" anything. But carry on with the nonsense.

And you think Schiano is a great coach and he reminds you of a young Belichek?? I quit. Conversation over.

Lol. You do know bellichik was run outta Cleveland and basically down graded and fans called for his head right? You do know bellichik failed before he became the HOF.

Basically schiano came here and had to start from scratch. This was a horrendous team he took over with no discipline and guys who absolutely quit. Dom failed in his 2009-2011 efforts of building through the draft with multiple busts.

Schiano didn't walk into roses and treats to begin with and he didn't have his franchise qb either.

For someone to walk into the Raheem and Dominik dumpster load that was here, and build what is here now..... not bad on coach. Especially keeping it together like he has.

Good to know that kBucs quit his own thread. Very Freeman-esque

Schiano to me is that same boat as Tom Coughlin. He needs to lay up a little. You're dealing with grown men who are making millions of dollars.

If he stays I really want a new D Cord.

I think he has. But remember you think he'd turn a crap team from 2011 into division champs in 2 years with a horrendous qb and terrible draft and FA choices from 2009-2011?

It takes time. Unfortunately you rarely get that time.

Dom needs to go and when he does best chance they keep schiano is they promote Stokes. Who's going to be an awesome GM.

In saying all that, the expectation of playoffs for this team in 2013 was always a pipedream. This was really a 5-7 win team, and that was without the Freeman drama. That alone, I think had the locker room in turmoil right from training camp. The one thing I do blame Schiano for, is not taking that bull by the horns quick enough and benching Freeman sooner.

I'm not sure that was his call. Remember they had to go to the owners to make that decision.

The Glazers were forcing both Schiano and Dom to play Freeman? Don't think so.

I think it was Schiano who took Dom to the Glazers and forced the decision.

Benching your first round qb isn't a decision you make on the fly. There was a reason Schiano had to have that meeting with the glazers.

My opinion: Dom wanted to continue with freeman. Schiano saw otherwise.

You have to remember: Dom always said it was all about number 5.

Schiano or no Schiano, all I want for Christmas is Clowney on my team! Not only do I want him on my team I don't want to have to play against him twice a year for the next 10 yrs.

Schiano was never sipping the Freeman Kool Aid, which ticked me off because I admittedly thought it was scheme that was making Freeman play poorly but hindsight, if the Vikings went back to Christian Ponder after signing him.......well there you have it.

The defense looked good early but have fallen to the bottom half in most categories other than stopping the run. Is it the scheme or the players?? I have to stream most of the games but i can not help but notice all the pressure we were getting in the first 3 games has died down tremendously!! Other than the MNF game against the Dolphins, who were missing 2 starters.

I don't live in Tampa so I don't get to hear the feedback, the coaches interviews, and the breaking down of film, etc.

It's highly unlikely that the Bucs will have a chance to select Clowney, so you might as well let go for that idea now and save yourself the disappointment.

First, the more we win, and the more a couple other teams lose, the less shot we get at Clowney. Granted, we may make a trade..... but I doubt it. I like Clowney, and the mismatches he could create for our DL just being on the field... but I'm not quite attaching myself to that pick just yet.

Second, Freeman sucks in whichever city he's in. The Vikes saw one game, and they've all but cut ties. Stashing him in a booth, high in the Metrodomes' collapsing roof. One look at Freeman, and Leslie Frazier sobered up and has stuck with Christian Ponder ever since. Quickest 12 step program completion I've ever witnessed. Betty Ford is a rookie.

Thirdly, the Bucs' defense has still been good. Early on, they used blitzes to get pressure, but have been relying more and more on McCoy and Clayborn to create. It's s double edged sword. The sacks haven't been there as much, but they have hurried QB's into mistakes more. And isn't that still a good outcome? I'd like to see them stay aggressive and dial up blitzes in key moments, but again.... that sword.

And don't worry...... you get to miss the bulk of daily sports radio here with the constant stream of confused hillbillies dialing up after 3 or 47 Natty Lights.

I'll be happy about this if/when I see who replaces them.

I have a bad feeling that the Glazers are either going to go with a failed re-tread (Lovie Smith) or sit on their hands until all of the good candidates are snatched up (exactly how we ended up with Raheem Morris).

Lovie would be a huge upgrade over Schiano, I really want to see a offensive coach hired but would be fine with Lovie if he can bring in a proven OC, which he shouldn't have that hard of a problem doing you would think.

The Bears fired Lovie Smith largely because he could never find a competent OC. What makes you think that would change in Tampa?

I don't see why a coaching tree of Lovie Smth as Head Coach, Leslie Frazier as DC and Rob Chudzinski as OC. Would not work.

Chud is gonna sit out. 10 million man.

I heard Jeff Tedford would be the OC.

Ok replace Chud with Tedford. That's one hell of a coaching tree also people are talking trash about Lovie.

In his 8 years with the Bears he lead his team to the Super Bowl once, the NFC Championship game once. And a one and done playoff.

I'd take that right now as a Bucs fan. Also making the SB or making the SB.

I'd really rather see the Glazers take the team in a new direction. I know Lovie Smith has that nostalgia of the glory years under Dungy, but you can only drag that coaching tree out for so long and, if you ask me, it's high time the Bucs wiped the slate completely clean and tried something new. No more retreads.

I would like to see the Bucs pilfer a front office guy from a team that clearly knows what they're doing. Joel Patten, the Director of Pro Personnel for the Niners or Scot McCloughan, the Senior Personnel Executive for the Seahawks would be good choices. Patten might be inclined to bring along Greg Roman and McLoughan might favor Darrell Bevell, two offensive minded coaches who would give the Bucs the opportunity to purge the offensive curse that has plagued this franchise since its inception.

If we're going with the defensive minded head coach (and I really hope we don't), my choice would be Mike Zimmer.

Legacy I agree with the premise, my take on Lovie was mostly that he would be a big upgrade over Schiano and you would think he could bring in a proven guy as OC like Norv Turner or someone along those lines, something like that I wouldn't mind really. But I would much rather see an offensive guy become the HC, if not then it's a must that the OC is an established guy.
With that said out of all the coaches you mention I'd rather see Zimmer here with Jay Gruden or Hue Jackson as the OC.
Don't really care to see the 9ers or Hawks offense in Tampa.

Again, my problem with Lovie is this: Everyone admits that the success of that hire would hinge on him bringing in a good offensive coordinator. The thing is, if he were capable of doing that, he'd still be coaching the Bears.

And, as for seeing the Niners or Hawks offense in Tampa, I really don't give a flying crap what kind of offense we run as long as it produces points. I'm tired of watching a barely mediocre (at best) offense year-in and year-out. What I want most is to see the level of success that the Niners and Seahawks have achieved. I think the Bucs are more likely to find that by hiring people who have been immersed in that winning culture recently, rather than hiring a guy who got canned from his last job for performance reasons.
