Shaw is actually really content where he is. He is in control of his alma mater and doing a really good job running it. It would have to take a very very unique circumstance to get him to leave.

Please don't call Kyle Shanahan. He has a job. Thanx Titans.
I think they'll take a QB probably 2nd or 4th round depending who's available. Could be a David Carr or a Sean Mannion there.

When things were looking up before the hip injury i pegged the Tits for around 9-7 with a couple of tie breakers to their advantage so things were all positive.

With Jake it's going to be about the injuries. I think he's proven he can win football games.

Just for that, he jumped to my frontliner!

No, in all seriousness I would be thrilled if he was our next head coach. Hopefully that means he brings along a proven set of coordinators with him though

I really like Mettenberger and Carr, they're my two favorite QBs out of this class. I'd be thrilled to get either in the 2nd, although I can't say I see that happening.

The Washington Redskins don't have leadership. That's a conclusion drawn by former Redskins corner Darrell Green.

Quote:
When asked who the leader of the team was, Green questioned Griffin and said the team really didn't have one.

"I think that's the problem," Green answered. "I think it's super important to have leadership, and I don't think he really is the leader."

Ouch. I hate when former players take potshot at current guys.

We would still likely profit (in money terms) by getting one of the more popular college athletes. But we'd lose on the field.

I hate the way coverage of the NFL is becoming more like a soap opera.

"Such and such former player says that such and such current player is a such and such."

A lot of this stuff is likely just said to provide headline fodder. Saying something controversial about a player is an easy way to get people to pay attention to you.

RGIII sucking as a leader isn't really controversial though. The talking heads in DC have been speculating about that since he showed up.

RGIII is RGMe.

That's going to always be a problem with him. But that doesn't mean anything. Ben Roethlisberger is a gigantic turd and he won 2 Super Bowls. You don't need to be Peyton Manning to be a great qb. Teams, scouts and fans need to stop trying to fit every qb into the same mold.

One size doesn't fit all.

RG3 doesn't hang out with teammates at bar/strip clubs after hours, that's why some teammates have leaked to people like D Green that Griffin isn't the team's true 'leader'.smh.

He also won't appear on former player's radio shows(Doc Walker and Brian Mitchell) or talk to former players(Donovan McNabb) if Mike Shanahan or his personal entourage(re: RGII) decide it's not in his best interest.
Which makes sense since RG3 loves the microphone and the more he gabs the more likely he is to put his foot in his mouth.

If Grif isn't the SKins leader, they simply do not have one.

I love Darrell, but he's wrong on this one.

If RG3 went around the lockerroom ripping guys for missing blocks, dropping passes or whiffing on tackles, the team would turn against him.

He's too young IMO to be that type of leader.

RG3 sort of has a Tim Tebow personality profile; super-religious(won't even celebrate Halloween) and is a homebody.

It's all about Ws and Ls. When the Skins won the division the entire team was anointed and could walk on water.

Now it's a lockerroom of 53 bums.lol

Dude...RG3 isn't Tim Tebow lol.

There's pictures that leaked of him cheating on his wife and sending selfies on his wedding day.

Let's not pretend he's a saint now. Which is fine, it's really a meaningless conversation.

Not every qb has to be a choirboy. Not every qb has to love film as much as Peyton does. Not every qb has to act like Peyton off the field or Brady on the field or whatever other box people put qbs in.

He just has to win. That's it. And RG3 will win a lot. Deciphering how much of a "leader" he is, or anything else is trivial ********.

Thank you. I was still chuckling from the Tim Tebow comparison. Brett Favre is a more apt comparison for the off-the-field stuff aside from his dad/coaching staff dictate his personal life to an extent.

Stealing this from Twitter/reddit;

Quote:
In 21 games since Kuechkly took over as MLB, @Panthers are 2nd in rushing D, 4th in passing D. In prior 21 games, they were 24th and 26th.
Of course players like Star and Mitchell have certainly helped, but still, suck it NFL.

Remember when Acheten said he was a horrible draft pick bc you don't take ILBs that high? Lulz.

Acheten stays delivering the lulz.

Do you have a link? Because I remember when this story came out, and no one cared. And no one has talked about it since the apparent allegation. I mean is there anything that leads credence to that story other than "he said, she said"?

Just because something isn't confirmed by the major outlets doesn't mean it's not true. A lot of times outlets won't report on these things bc of fear of lawsuits or not getting said player on their programs.

Like Lebron/Delonte West. We all know it happened. But you didn't hear any major outlet report a thing about it.

Or Kerry Rhodes. Another story no major outlet would touch.

More recently the Trent Richardson orgy tape. Major outlets try not to involve themselves in this.

It happens time to time.

Speaking of Kerry Rhodes he's still unemployed. And there's no way anyone can tell me that he doesn't belong on a roster with some of the crap we see at safety currently in the league.

Do they make a bold move for someone like Roethlisberger or Cutler?

But this issue isn't just one for the Titans. There are a large number of teams who have a QB who is just good enough to avoid being replaced but not good enough to be a difference maker. That's probably the worst situation to be in.
How much of that is on injuries though? If healthy that progression would look mighty different, so giving him another year that he's had stolen from him to prove he's not developing/just-an-injury-prone-dude, makes the most sense.

Robert Griffin seems like a good guy (not sure about calling him RGMe), but that doesn't make him a leader. At least LockerRoomGate in Miami took away some attention about the "Redskins" name.
