Default Pre Combine 2014 Mock 5 Rounds

ROUND 1

1. Houston Texans - *John Manziel |QB| Texas A&M:
I'm beginning to convince myself that Manziel's going #1. He got better as a soph which many thought wasn't possible. He's put the arm doubts mostly to bed. He'll measure fine. He's preparing like a maniac to become the #1. He's saying the right things with the right mindset of a franchise QB. The Texas connection. And he's likely going to impress O'Brien and the Texans in interviews. Last domino will be the private workout. Manziel can do things that most QBs cannot. If OBrien decides he can add the expertise and preparation he's learned in NE to that..he's a Texan. I have my doubts how well Crennel could actually use Clowney, while one of the worst things a top prospect can have questioned is his motivation.
NFL Comp: Fran Tarkenton

2. St.Louis Rams (WAS) – *Greg Robinson |OT| Auburn:
Robinson was my 1st man crush of this draft season. Even if Snead gets a trade down, I think this is their guy.
NFL Comp: Jason Peters

3. Jacksonville Jaguars – *Teddy Bridgewater |QB| Louisville:
Bridge is regarded as the best passer in this class but just doesn't carry as much upside as some others. I think he's the most Brady-esque QB in this draft. GM Caldwell won't pass.
NFL Comp: Ryan Tannehill

4. Cleveland Browns - *Blake Bortles |QB| Central Florida:
GM Farmer strikes me as more of an eye test guy than Lombardi. It's easy to imagine he, Haslam and Pettine agreeing on this Big Ben look a like, and fairly safe QB prospect. Actually, I'd say he's more like a cross between Roethlisberger and Drew Stanton. Not exactly a knock-I've always been high on Stanton.
NFL Comp: Drew Stanton

5. TRADE Tampa Bay Buccaneers (OAK) - *Jadeveon Clowney |DE| South Carolina:
I think Lovie would absolutely covet Clowney for his defensive system. Enough to go get him for a 2015 2nd.
NFL Comp: Mario Williams

6. Atlanta Falcons – Khalil Mack |DE/OLB| Buffalo:
Mack’s a monster prospect and destined for a Von Miller type role, wherever he ends up.
NFL Comp. Akeem Ayers

7. TRADE Oakland Raiders (TB) – Anthony Barr |DE/OLB| UCLA:
Barr may still be new to the position of DE but he’s got a prototypical skill set and the motor/work ethic to master it. Perfect fit for Tarver’s scheme at DE. Raiders would pick up an extra 2015 2nd in this scenario.
NFL Comp: DeMarcus Ware

8. Minnesota Vikings – *Eric Ebron |TE| North Carolina:
Ebron’s a top ten elite offensive talent and perfect for Norv Turner’s scheme. Presence of Rudolph makes this somewhat of a head scratcher but Kyle's got just 1 more year left on his contract. Ebron's just an uber talented prospect that I think is too good to pass.
NFL Comp: Antonio Gates

9. Buffalo Bills – *Sam Watkins |WR| Clemson:
An impressive raw talent but is coming into the pros as more a RB than WR and, traditionally, all-purpose college superstars don’t transition terrifically to the pros.
NFL Comp: Percy Harvin

10. Detroit Lions – Justin Gilbert |CB| Oklahoma St:
Gilbert's stock continues to rise. He plays at a different speed. Great ball skills and doesn't shy from contact.
NFL Comp: DeAngelo Hall

11. Tennessee Titans - Kyle Van Noy |LB/DE| BYU:
KVN is officially being slept on. A great, and really deceptive, all-around game. Demonstrated his effectiveness all week and late in the Senior Bowl game vs top 20 OT Zach Martin, where on three consecutive plays, went in, out, and bull rushed for pressure. Perfect fit for Horton’s scheme.
NFL Comp: Jamie Collins

12. New York Giants – Jake Matthews |OT| Texas A&M:
Matthews isn’t incredible but he projects as a very reliable OL and can play wherever you line him up.
NFL Comp: Jordan Gross

13. St.Louis Rams - *HaSean Clinton-Dix |S| Alabama:
Looks like a physical CB playing S.
NFL Comp: Brodney Pool

14. Chicago Bears - Darqueze Dennard |CB| Michigan St:
Liked Dennard early this season and he’s gotten steadily better and raised his stock. Not much of a playmaker on the ball but has the look of a shut down CB.
NFL Comp: Jason McCourty

15. Pittsburgh Steelers - *Mike Evans |WR| Texas A&M:
Antonio Brown’s been a one man army this season. Evans excelled in 50/50 situations with a miniature Roethlisberger, so he should fit right in.
NFL Comp: Plaxico Burress

16. Dallas Cowboys – *Tim Jernigan|DT| Florida St.:
Looks like a one gap DT but plays stout like a true NT. It'll be harder to be as dominant in the pros but he's a good worker.
NFL Comp. Brandon Mebane

17. Baltimore Ravens – Taylor Lewan |OT| Michigan:
Ravens OL is in shambles. What a difference a year makes. Lewan’s a possible right or left side plug and play guy. But some off the field incidents might hurt his stock.
NFL Comp: Mike Roos

18. TRADE - Kansas City Chiefs (NYJ) - *Marqise Lee|WR|USC:
If not for a nagging gimpy knee, Lee might clearly be the best WR in this draft. If he has to have a procedure after the season on that knee, his stock will take a hit. If he falls, I think a team could move up to get a bargain. Chiefs give up their 3rd rounder to NY here.
NFL Comp: Pierre Garcon

19. Miami Dolphins – Zach Martin |OT/OG| Notre Dame:
Martin doesn’t look great doing it, but he’s a solid pass protector and run blocker.
NFL Comp: Justin Pugh

20. Arizona Cardinals - *Cyrus Kouandjio |OT| Alabama:
Technique needs ironing out but he still checks in as an elite upside Olineman.
NFL Comp: Tyron Smith

21. Green Bay Packers – C.J. Mosley |ILB| Alabama:
Mosley is simply a beast of a prospect and could probably fit at any LB position in any defense. Injury history and a good not great senior year, will affect his stock however.
NFL Comp: Lawrence Timmons

22. Philadelphia Eagles – Stanley Jean-Baptiste |CB| Nebraska:
One of the more intriguing guys at Senior week practices. Showed very good fluidity and awareness playing off coverage senior week, which he wasn’t accustomed to. With a strong combine, I think he’s a 1st rounder.
NFL Comp: Marcus Coleman

23. TRADE - New York Jets (KC) - *Austin Sefarian-Jenkins |TE| Washington:
ASF is better than I thought. Incredible body control and agility at his size. He’ll be a much better pro then college player.
NFL Comp: Rob Gronkowski

24. TRADE - New Orleans Saints – Dee Ford |OLB/DE| Auburn:
It’s hard not to see Von Miller when checking out Ford’s performance Senior Week. I think a team will covet his pass rushing ability and move up for him. Saints give up a 2015 3rd here.
NFL Comp: Cliff Avril

25. San Diego Chargers – *Ryan Shazier |ILB| Ohio St:
Shazier is a great sideline to sideline guy and phenomenal blitzer/pass rush specialist.
NFL Comp: Mychal Kendricks

26. Cleveland Browns (IND) – Chris Borland |ILB| Wisconsin:
Browns inside linebacking was the weakest part of the defense last season. Borland’s an inside LB but he’s also been used as a 3rd down pass rusher extensively by the Badgers and has some versatility.
NFL Comp: Zach Thomas

27. TRADE - Cincinnati Bengals - *Scott Crighton |DE| Oregon St:
Crighton is slowly getting more attention as a top pick. His numbers at the combine will be big for him. More suited as an end in an even front, but athletic enough to play some in a hybrid scheme.
NFL Comp: Jason Babin

28. Carolina Panthers – *Kelvin Benjamin |WR| Florida St:
A definite match up problem with upside but a considerable project as well.
NFL Comp: Reggie Williams

29. New England Patriots – Aaron Donald |DT/DE| Pittsburgh:
With Vellano showing some potential inside after Wilfork went down, the Pats could use an interior rusher next to them. Donald’s versatile enough to even kick out to DE in certain situations.
NFL Comp: Cullen Jenkins

30. San Francisco 49ers – Jason Verrett |CB| TCU:
Still my top CB. Size & and speed, a bad TCU defense, and a stocked class of CBs have him lost in the shuffle.
NFL Comp: Joe Haden

31. Denver Broncos – *Odell Beckham Jr |WR| LSU:
Beckham is a great all around playmaker and has been clutch for LSU all season. With Decker likely to sign as a #1 elsewhere, a hole needs to be filled opposite Thomas.
NFL Comp: Hines Ward

32. Seattle Seahawks – Morgan Moses |OT| Virginia:
Gangly and huge but sneakily athletic.
NFL Comp: King Dunlap

ROUND 2

1. Houston Texans – *Calvin Pryor |S| Louisville:
Possibly the 2nd or 3rd S off the board if he declares.
NFL Comp: T.J. Ward

2. Washington Redskins – Rashed Hageman |DE| Minnesota:
Not much flash but reported great athleticism and size to mold.
NFL Comp: Chris Canty

3. Cleveland Browns - *David Yankey |OG| Stanford:
Browns mustered one of the least productive running games in the league this year and the interior line play is primarily to blame. Yankey’s the top OG prospect imo.
NFL Comp: Rodger Saffold

4. Oakland Raiders – Derek Carr |QB| Fresno St:
His stock is considered in the top ten range right now and Carr might do shockingly well at the combine and senior week if he participates. But he’s got a significant flaw that might turn teams off and cause him to drop - lack of poise under pressure. Lesser concerns but also hurdles are his level of competition and footwork. He’s feasted on opponents this year and has special arm talent but teams like the Jaguars, Browns and Vikings, given their recent QB situations, might be especially leery of a guy that’s perceived to not handle the rush.
NFL Comp: Josh McCown (pre 2013)

5. Atlanta Falcons - Dominque Easley |DT| Florida:
The top DT in this class but carries a worrisome injury history.
NFL Comp: Mike Neal

6. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Brandon Thomas |OT| Clemson:
Really surprised with his talent as a blind side protector senior week. I think he stays there as a pro. Figuring Penn becomes a cap casualty.
NFL Comp: Wayne Gandy

7. Jacksonville Jaguars – *Jace Amaro |TE/WR| Texas Tech:
Amaro isn’t quite as good as reputed, imo, but he is a match up problem.
NFL Comp: Evan Moore

8. Minnesota Vikings – Jimmy Garrapolo |QB| Eastern Illinois:
Quietly built momentum in post season practices at the Shrine and Mobile. If he displays better than expected athleticism at the combine, Spielman's in.
NFL Comp. Andy Dalton

9. Buffalo Bills – Joel Bitonio |OT/OG| Nevada:
Slowing coming out of obscurity after a very good senior week where he showed well at LT.
NFL Comp: Jonas Jennings

10. Tennessee Titans - *Ka'Deem Carey |RB| Arizona:
Has everything but it’s just in a small package.
NFL Comp: Cadillac Williams

11. New York Giants – Shayne Skov |ILB| Stanford:
Thumping tone setter for a defense. Skov’s a great tackler and not bad in coverage.
NFL Comp: Jarrett Johnson

12. St. Louis Rams – *Bradley Roby |CB| Ohio St:
Roby fits the mold of Fisher CBs and could also project to FS.
NFL Comp: Mike Jenkins

13. Detroit Lions – *Brandin Cooks |WR| Oregon St:
Blazing speed but also has strong hands and yac skills.
NFL Comp: Harry Douglas

14. Pittsburgh Steelers - *Louis Nix III |DT| Notre Dame:
Imo not as dominant as he's been touted and now significant injury concerns popping up.
NFL Comp: Brandon Williams

15. Dallas Cowboys – Jeremiah Attaochu |DE/OLB| Georgia Tech:
Relentless and has played with more power this past season instead of strictly speed. Also endless nickname potential with this guy.
NFL Comp: Brian Orakpo

16. Baltimore Ravens – Jordan Matthews |WR| Vanderbilt:
Carries the Vandy offense at times.
NFL Comp: Eric Decker

17. New York Jets – *Cameron Fleming |OT| Stanford:
Shorter arms will hurt his stock but he's a people mover in the run game and has good feet in protection.
NFL Comp: Godser Cherilus

18. Miami Dolphins - Carlos Hyde |RB| Ohio St:
Hyde’s quicker and faster than I first thought. With D.Thomas likely heading elsewhere the Dolphins need a lot more here than the underperforming Miller.
NFL Comp: Jonathan Stewart

19. Chicago Bears – *Ego Ferguson |DT| LSU:
Great first step quickness and a non stop motor but will need to work on everything else.
NFL Comp: Johnathan Babineaux

20. Arizona Cardinals – *Kony Ealy |DE/OLB| Missouri:
Great mobility at his size but doesn’t play as well in the trenches. I think he might be better suited in a hybrid role.
NFL Comp: Calvin Pace

21. Green Bay Packers – Daniel McCullers |NT| Texas:
Similar to Mt Cody but better. Looks like a huge immoveable fixture until he flashes impressive athletic ability every now and again.
NFL Comp: Ted Washington

22. Philadelphia Eagles – Chris Smith |DE/OLB| Arkansas:
A sleeper with a very good motor and pretty good strength & explosiveness.
NFL Comp: Derrick Burgess

23. San Francisco 49ers (KC)- *Paul Richardson |WR| Colorado:
Not physical but an absolute blazer.
NFL Comp: TY Hilton

24. Cincinnati Bengals – *Carl Bradford |LB| Arizona St:
Bradford's been a solid hybrid DE for the Sun Devils but he might be a better, thumping and blitzing ILB as a pro.
NFL Comp: Kawika Mitchell

25. San Diego Chargers – *Victor Hampton |CB| South Carolina:
NFL Comp. Alphonso Dennard

26. Indianapolis Colts – Jackson Jeffcoat |OLB/DE| Texas:
Colts are desperate for pass rushers.
NFL Comp: Ricky Sapp

27. New Orleans Saints - Kyle Fuller |CB| Virginia Tech:
NFL Comp: Jason Allen

28. Carolina Panthers – *Antonio Richardson |OT| Tennessee:
Big, slow, but fairly reliable OT.
NFL Comp: Phil Loadholt

29. New England Patriots – *Xavier Su’a-Filo |OG/C| UCLA:
Versatile and reliable interior guy that might end up in the pivot.
NFL Comp. Mike Pouncey

30. San Francisco 49ers – Brent Urban |DE| Virginia:
NFL Comp: Igor Olshansky

31. Denver Broncos - LaMarcus Joyner |S| Florida State:
Pint size Earl Thomas.
NFL Comp: Jairus Byrd

32 Seattle Seahawks – Keith McGil |CB| Utah:
A ton of ability and brings passion but extremely raw. Upside will get him drafted higher than he ought to.
NFL Comp. Brandon Browner

ROUND 3

1. Houston Texans - *Lache Seastrunk |RB| Baylor:
Seastrunk’s already dealing with nagging injuries this season. With the shelf life of pro RBs so short, I think there’s a good chance he declares. He's like a raw Darren Sproles but still needing a ton of seasoning in the passing game.
NFL Comp: Darren Sproles

2. Washington Redskins – *Yawin Smallwood |ILB| UConn:
Not a great athlete but instinctive and a thumper inside.
NFL Comp: David Harris

3. Oakland Raiders – Caraun Reid |DT| Princeton:
An impressive week of practice in Mobile has his stock ascending.
NFL Comp. Darwin Walker

4. Atlanta Falcons – Dakota Dozier |OG| Furman:
NFL Comp. Jahri Evans

5. New York Jets (TB) – *Allen Robinson |WR| Penn St:
Productive junior season in O’Brien’s offense and a solid yac guy but not clutch and lacks speed.
NFL Comp: Marvin Jones

6. Jacksonville Jaguars – *Tre Mason |RB| Auburn:
Propped up by a dominant run first Auburn offense, but still, not a guy to bet against.
NFL Comp: Tashard Choice

7. Cleveland Browns – C.J. Fiedorwicz |TE| Iowa:
I’ve seen him regarded as a mid round guy but I like him. There a little bit of Heath Miller there.
NFL Comp: Marcedes Lewis

8. Minnesota Vikings – Gabe Jackson |OG| Mississippi St:
Needs to play more stout given his size, but with expert technique, he could be a high level OG for awhile.
NFL Comp: Davin Joseph

9. Buffalo Bills – *Demarcus Lawrence |DE| Boise St:
Nuch much buzz yet on Lawrence, who’s got varying grades. Combine could be his coming out.
NFL Comp. Jabaal Sheard

10. New York Giants – Charles Sims |RB| West Virginia:
Became a workhorse for WVU by mid season as a runner and receiver.
NFL Comp: Joseph Randle

11. St. Louis Rams - Telvin Smith |OLB| Florida St:
Ultra productive and eventually will add weight.
NFL Comp: Micheal Boley

12. Detroit Lions – *Devante Adams |WR| Fresno St:
Not sure on Adams’ stock yet, but if he declares and runs well, his upside could push him pretty high.
NFL Comp: Josh Morgan

13. San Francisco 49ers (Tenn) – *Dion Bailey |S| USC:
Versatile playmaker for USC but his transition to the pros might come slowly.
NFL Comp: Rogers Beckett

14. Dallas Cowboys – *Brett Smith |QB| Wyoming:
Is it too early for the heir apparent? Smith surprised many by declaring but he's got a lot of tools to groom. If he goes to Arlington be prepared for the Staubach 2.0 onslaught.
NFL Comp: Josh Johnson

15. Baltimore Ravens – Weston Richburg |OC/OG| Colorado St.
NFL Comp: Alex Mack

16. New York Jets – A.J. McCarron |QB| Alabama:
A.J.'s more athletic than he gets credit for. If he improves his strength, he'll be a good starting NFL QB.
NFL Comp: Alex Smith

17. Miami Dolphins – Michael Schofield |OT| Michigan:
Quietly had a solid senior week. Athletic enough to get a shot at LT.
NFL Comp: Jason Fox

18. Chicago Bears – Bryan Stork |OC| Florida St.
NFL Comp:

19. Cleveland Browns (PITT)– Jordan Zumwalt |ILB|UCLA:
Could be this year’s Kiko Alonzo.
NFL Comp: Stewart Bradley

20. Arizona Cardinals – Trent Murphy |OLB/DE| Stanford:
Murphy should test well and be a good clean up guy for a strong defense. Does everything pretty well.
NFL Comp: Paul Kruger

21. Green Bay Packers - *Troy Niklas |TE| Notre Dame:
NFL Comp: Kyle Rudolph

22. Philadelphia Eagles – *Bruce Ellington |WR| South Carolina:
Ellington’s an all-purpose speedster that will make plays.
NFL Comp. Ike Hilliard

23. TRADE New York Jets (KC) – Jimmie Ward |S| NIU:
NFL Comp. Don Carey

24. Cincinnati Bengals – *Marcus Roberson |CB| Florida:
Getting some buzz as a potential 1st round pick. Not seeing it.
NFL Comp: Darius Slay

25. San Diego Chargers – *Jarvis Landry |WR| LSU:
NFL Comp: Jason Avant

26. Indianapolis Colts – Jack Mewhort |OT| Ohio St.
Mewhort’s regarded as a strong pass protector and could start quickly.
NFL Comp: Adam Terry

27. New Orleans Saints – Travis Swanson |OC| Arkansas:
NFL Comp: Adam Treu

28. Carolina Panthers – Robert Herron |WR| Wyoming:
Dominated senior week practices and might show some speed at the combine.
NFL Comp: Cecil Shorts

29. New England Patriots - Jeremy Gallon |WR| Michigan:
Pint sized but plays big and clutch. Has some Welker/Amendola to him. I’m not convinced they’ll pay Jules to return.
NFL Comp: Golden Tate

30. San Francisco 49ers – Billy Turner |OT| North Dakota St.
Very good athletic ability and gets after it but also showed he’s very much a project.
NFL Comp: Artis Hicks

31. Denver Broncos – Kareem Martin |DE| North Carolina:
Martin is a long athletic DE that could be very productive once he learns the nuances of the position and adds strength.
NFL Comp: Reggie Hayward

32. Minnesota Vikings (Sea) – Will Sutton |DT| Arizona St:
His energy is what I like most about his game. He’ll be a tone setter. But his weight fluctuation might hurt his stock.
NFL Comp: Sen'Derrick Marks

*33. Pittsburgh Steelers - Pierre Desir |CB| Lindenwood:
NFL Comp. Josh Norman

*34. Green Bay Packers - Dezmen Southward |S| Wisconsin:
Phyisical CB/S that has the size and tackling ability for last line of defense and CB skills to hold up in man to man.
NFL Comp. Nate Allen

ROUND 4

1. Houston Texans - Ja’Wuan James |OT| Tennessee:
NFL Comp: Chris Hairston

2. Washington Redskins - *Stephen Tuitt |DE| Notre Dame:
Tuitt is a prime candidate for a draft tumble, imo.
NFL Comp: Kenyon Coleman

3. Atlanta Falcons – *Cyril Richardson |OG| Baylor:
Richardson has the skill set of an all pro OG but doesn't always dominate like it looks like he should. Horrid senior week has him looking more like a boom/bust type.
NFL Comp: Chris Williams

4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Crockett Gillmore |TE| Colorado St.
NFL Comp.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars - Anthony Steen |OG| Alabama:
Zero flash but reliable. Desperately needed on the Jags line.
NFL Comp: Joe Andruzzi

6. Cleveland Browns - *Donte Montcrief |WR| Ole Miss:
A fast 40 time in Indianapolis could make him a lot of money.
NFL Comp. Miles Austin

7. Oakland Raiders – *Louchez Purifoy |CB| Florida:
NFL Comp: Leodis McKelvin

8. Minnesota Vikings – Marcus Smith |DE| Louisville:
NFL Comp.

9. Buffalo Bills – Arthur Lynch |TE| Georgia:
Conflicting reports on his performance in Mobile but he looked to me like he was big boying everyone that attempted to cover him. Sticky hands and solid run blocking with deceptive athletic ability.
NFL Comp. Owen Daniels

10. St. Louis Rams – Jared Abbredaris |WR| Nebraska:
NFL Comp. Austin Collie

11. Detroit Lions - Kenny Ladler |FS| Vanderbilt:
NFL Comp. Aaron Williams

12. Tennessee Titans – Christian Kirksey |ILB| Iowa:
NFL Comp. James Anderson

13. New York Giants – Will Clarke |DE| West Virgina:
NFL Comp.

14. Jacksonville Jaguars (BAL) - Dontae Johnson |CB| NC State:
Really liking Johnson after seeing him senior week. Checked back a little on him and, so far, still impressed.
NFL Comp: Dominique Rodgers Cromartie

15. New York Jets – E.J. Gaines |CB| Missouri:
NFL Comp.

16. Miami Dolphins – Mike Davis |WR| Texas:
Looked bigger and better than expected at Senior week practices.
NFL Comp: Robert Meachem

17. Chicago Bears – Christian Jones |LB| Florida St.
NFL Comp. Nate Irving

18. Pittsburgh Steelers - Ricardo Allen |CB| Purdue:
Allen’s my top sleeper CB. Aggressive, physical all round guy that got lost on a terrible defense this year. Showed his ability as a returner at the Shrine game as well.
NFL Comp: Chris Harris

19. Dallas Cowboys – Terrance Brooks |FS| Florida St.
NFL Comp.

20. Arizona Cardinals – Jalen Saunders |WR| Oklahoma:
NFL Comp. Dennis Northcutt

21. Green Bay Packers – Justin Britt |OT| Missouri:
NFL Comp. Breno Giacomini

22. Philadelphia Eagles – DeAndre Coleman |DT| California:
NFL Comp. Rod Walker

23. Cincinnati Bengals - *Terrance West |RB| Towson:
NFL Comp. Jonathan Dwyer

24. Kansas City Chiefs – Jemea Thomas |S| Georgia Tech:
NFL Comp. Eugene Wilson

25. San Diego Chargers - Seantrel Henderson |OT| Florida St:
NFL Comp: George Foster

26. New Orleans Saints - James Hurst |OT| North Carolina:
NFL Comp: Sebastian Vollmer

27. Cleveland Browns (IND) - *Devonta Freeman |RB| Florida St:
Potential star in a Shanahan scheme.
NFL Comp. Dominic Rhodes

28. Carolina Panthers – Craig Loston |S| LSU:
NFL Comp. Pat Chung

29. San Francisco 49ers - *Martavis Bryant |WR| Clemson:
NFL Comp. Tommy Streeter

30. New England Patriots - Trey Millard |TE/FB| Oklahoma:
NFL Comp. Delanie Walker

31. Denver Broncos – Max Bullough |ILB| Michigan St:
Big, physical with a burst and has coverage ability. Very underrated.
NFL Comp: Ben Leber

32. Seattle Seahawks – Kain Colter |WR| Northwestern:
Intriguing guy with speed and elusiveness. Looked great as a WR in pre draft practices even though has hardly played there.
NFL Comp. Lance Moore

*33. San Francisco 49ers - Jon Halapio |OG| Florida:
NFL Comp. Willie Colon

*34. Baltimore Ravens - Zach Mettenberger |QB| LSU:
Zach was pushing to be a first rounder before getting injured.
NFL Comp: Ryan Mallett

*35. Detroit Lions - *Bishop Sankey |RB| Washington:
NFL Comp: Jordan Todman

*36. Baltimore Ravens - *Kelcy Quarles |DE| South Carolina:
NFL Comp. C.J. Mosley

ROUND 5

1. Houston Texans - Antoine Exum |S/CB| Virginia Tech:
Sleeper due to all the injuries.
NFL Comp: Sanders Cummings

2. Washington Redskins – Kevin Norwood |WR| Alabama:
NFL Comp. Sam Hurd

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Mike Campanaro |WR| Vanderbilt:
Looked like one of the best slot types at senior week practices.
NFL Comp.

4. Jacksonville Jaguars – DaQuan Jones |NT| Penn State:
A steal if he falls to the third day. Inconsistency and just average physical tools might have him dropping.
NFL Comp: Ryan Pickett

5. Cleveland Browns – Chris Watt |OG| Notre Dame:
Carries some medical concerns but is a classic interior nasty guy. Fires out to the 2nd level with ease.
NFL Comp.

6. Seattle Seahawks (OAK) – Cody Hoffman |WR| BYU:
Conflicting reports from senior week practices but he looks like a reliable big target WR.
NFL Comp. David Nelson

7. Atlanta Falcons – Justin Ellis |DT| Louisiana Tech.
Massive but showed good burst in practices. Sleeper who might surprise with better conditioning.
NFL Comp.

8. Minnesota Vikings – Michael Sam |DE| Missouri:
NFL Comp. Bruce Davis

9. Buffalo Bills – Xavius Boyd |OLB| W. Kentucky:
NFL Comp. Craig Robertson

10. Jacksonville Jaguars (DET) - Cassius Marsh |DE| UCLA:
One of my sleepers. I like his game and he could end up a better pro than college player.
NFL Comp. Michael Bennett

11. Tennessee Titans - Tajh Boyd |QB| Clemson:
NFL Comp: Tyrod Taylor

12. New York Giants – Andre Williams |RB| Boston College:
NFL Comp. Antowain Smith

13. St. Louis Rams – Shamar Stephen |DT| UConn:
Looked like a monster with upside senior week but didn’t do much at UConn.
NFL Comp. Antonio Garay

14. New York Jets – Derrell Johnson |OLB/DE| East Carolina:
NFL Comp.

15. Miami Dolphins – Andrew Jackson |ILB| W. Kentucky:
NFL Comp. Jeremiah Trotter

16. Chicago Bears - Aaron Colvin |CB| Oklahoma:
Started receiving some high round hype before suffering an injury in Mobile.
NFL Comp.

17. Pittsburgh Steelers – Logan Thomas |QB| Virginia Tech:
NFL Comp. Terrelle Pryor

18. Dallas Cowboys – Josh Huff |WR| Oregon:
I’ve seen Huff regarded as high as a 3rd rounder but I’m not convinced. Combine testing will be huge for him though.
NFL Comp. Brandon Gibson

19. Jacksonville Jaguars (BAL) – T.J. Jones |WR| Notre Dame:
NFL Comp. Jeremy Kerley

20. Arizona Cardinals – Jay Bromley |DE| Syracuse:
NFL Comp.

21. Green Bay Packers – Terrance Mitchell |CB| Oregon:
NFL Comp.

22. Philadelphia Eagles – Ed Reynolds |S| Stanford:
NFL Comp. Eric Smith

23. Kansas City Chiefs – Ahmad Dixon |S| Baylor:
Productive and smart for the Bears but showed stiffness in pre draft practices.
NFL Comp: Jamoris Slaughter

24. Cincinnati Bengals – *Marcus Martin |OC/OG| USC:
NFL Comp. Jason Brown

25. San Diego Chargers - *Jeremy Hill |RB| LSU:
NFL Comp. LaGarrette Blount

26. Indianapolis Colts – Beau Allen |NT| Nebraska:
NFL Comp.

NFL Comp. Chris Rainey

29. Philadelphia Eagles (NE) - Tre Boston |FS| North Carolina:

I don't know much about Johnson but otherwise I'd be a very happy camper as a Jets fan. Would be nice if they re-signed Howard and didn't have to draft a tackle in the first, but pre-FA it certainly is a big need.

I love going for the trenches but I don´t see us taking a guy like Easley. We have had a lot of injury problems with our draft picks. Additionally, we often tend to take seniors who are team captains.

I would hate this draft for the Saints. We need CB's S, ILB, RT. We have two young stud DE's, another 10 sack artist in Galette, and we get back Victor Butler. There would have been more sacks but our 3 of our Top 4 CBs were injured, one who is coming off a bad injury. And safety is up for grabs as well opposite Vacarro, which we run a lot of 3 safety sets.

And Deone Bucannon not in the Top 5 rounds is ridiculous.

Nice effort with the 5 rounder. I would love Aaron Donald, but Vellano did not really fill in as a NT. Siliga showed some promise there, but Vellano is more of a pentrator. Either way I think Donald is going to be a stud so nice pick.

The rest of the draft, not so much. I actually like Millard and Gallon as players, but there is no way we would take Millard in the second and we don't need another small receiver. I think the third might be too early for Gallon, but depending on what happens with Edelman it could make sense. Right now, no thanks. I will admit I don't know anything about the guard we took in the fourth, but interior OL help would be nice.

No matter what type of mock you produce I'm just intrigued by the fact you can come up with a comparison for every prospect.

Well thought out draft for the Cowboys. I would have prefered Donald to Jernigan but thats just picking really.

Yeah, no. 2 words: Kyle Rudolph. In the Pro Bowl last year, he showed what he could do with a competent QB.

If Bridgewater, Bortles, Clowney, Barr, and Mack are all gone, I'd say a CB, or trade down.

Interesting pick I would have probably leaned Ealy and let DeMarcus tutor him but I can understand taking Attaochu as well.

NFL Comp. Andy Dalton -NO DO NOT SAY THAT. I honestly see a lot of Tony Romo in him (not just same Alma Mater). His release and pocket mobility are uncanny.
I chastise people for giving us an early QB but I absolutely love Garoppolo. It would force us to carry 3 QBs this year but cut Orton after the season and have a QB of the future training in the wings.

HUGE upside and would actually give Dallas a legitimate FS. Excellent pick.

Eh not a fan of this. We are overloaded with guys who can play the slot but if Dez/TWill get injured we lack any other talented outside receivers assuming Austin is cut. Quarles would be an excellent value and would further reload the defensive line in need of some youth.

Overall good draft for Dallas. A+ for effort in doing a 5 rounder. Good stuff.

Baltimore's picks wouldn't be bad if you think they're sticking to Castillo's blocking scheme. In my opinion they're going with Kubiak's all the way and they will end up needing a left guard and a center with Osemele moving back to right tackle. With that in mind I'd think the "easy" replacements for them in you mock would be Zach Martin in the first round and Weston Richburg in the third round. Jordan Matthews in the second round is gold any day of the week. I wouldn't be upset with him at 16 or 17.

Not thrilled with the lions pick at #10 (mostly because I view Denard as the 3rd or possibly even 4th best CB in the draft).

But I like the rest of the picks a lot. Gutsy to go WR back to back but I think it could certainly happen.

Patriots need size in their WR core. Drafting another small WR would be just meh.

I would rather take Donte Moncrief at that spot.

No complaints from this Panthers' fan.

Kelvin Benjamin, WR
Antonio Richardson, OT
Jared Abbredaris, WR
Craig Loston, S
De’Anthony Thomas, RB/WR

That's quite the haul in the first five rounds and addresses the majority of the team's needs.

If Browns are smart they will take the Best player on the board and take Clowney or Watkins (prob clowney)

also don't understand why they don't draft a Rb even in the later rounds I guess your banking on the Ben Tate rumors? also TE and 2 ILBS idk about that, I mean depth is important an all but id rather take a runningback and a Corner

I gotta be honest, I HATE that trade up for KC, absolutely hate it. We have too many holes to fill to give up a 3rd when we don't have a 2nd this year. I'd stay at 23 and take Pryor or the best available CB, personally. Trading up for a WR would piss me off.

Incredible effort. Very impressive mock.

I like most of the Bengals picks, especially the 3rd and 4th rounders.

My one disagreement is that the Bengals have kind of below the radar developed great depth at LB. There is a need for a pass rushing tweener type to replace James Harrison, but that's about it. I highly doubt they would take 2 in the first 5 rounds and I don't see an ILB type guy in the 2nd round.

And Deone Bucannon not in the Top 5 rounds is ridiculous.
I had Calvin Pryor in there, then changed it to Ford. I think back to back first round safeties is pretty rare. I also thought Bush looked decent filling in, and either he or Jenkins might be resigned as the starter. Butler, meanwhile, hasn't really proven anything yet.

Let's see what Bucannon runs at the combine. Read a scouting report that claimed he's a terrible tackler. And he didn't look that great at senior week practices.

A rare reply from a Pats fan! Thank you. I honestly don't know much about Millard. I had Fiedorwicz there in the second but decided to check back on Millard really quick after hearing some high praise. He reminded me of Aaron Hernandez. BB always has a plan for guys and doesn't seem to go with conventional big boards.

I would rather take Donte Moncrief at that spot.

Gallon just reminds me too much of the type that he and Brady have made their careers off of.

Rudolph made the pro bowl? Honestly, I had no idea. I think he's got 1 yr left on his contract. I'm not sure how likely it is he resigns. Ebron's a far superior talent, though.
