Default Rgiii Iii: 2014

With DeSean Jackson's signing, Griffin's got one of the best receiving corps in the league with Jackson, Garcon, Andre Roberts and Jordan Reed at tight end. Full offseason to rehab and get back up to speed, and Jay Gruden's going to bring some new things to the team. He maxed out Andy Dalton's potential, you can imagine what he could do with Robert Griffin. I think he's going to have a bounce back year. At least, he should.

It's the closest talent-wise to what RG3 had at Baylor when he was the mad bomber of college football.

NO more complaining about a slow WR corps that can't get open and Garcon always double covered. No more 8 man fronts for Alfred Morris.

RG3 just died and went to football heaven.

None of the young guns in the NFL currently have the assets on offense at their disposal that RG3 does.

There's huge pressure IMO on RG3 this season. He's being set up by the FO and coaching staff to have a really huge breakthrough season.

I wonder if he'll have a new custom shirt at training camp. Operation Patience 2?

The O-line is still one of the most garbage in the NFL outside of Trent Williams, but given the weapons offensively they should be able to scheme enough where everything falls on RG3's shoulders. Seriously though adding Mike McGlynn and Sean Lavaou as starters literally did nothing. Hopefully pick #34 is a RT. I know we have a swiss cheese defense but we are going to suck on D regardless so hopefully we can use our draft picks on O-line help with a safety/backer sprinkled in mid-late rounds.

The Skins oline was average, not garbage. RG3 was out of rhythm passing the ball all season long and held it when he should've pulled the trigger or hit his dumpoff.

RG3 had more than enough protection to play better than he did last season.

Honestly I don't think the Skins oline is better or worse than the Colts' or Seattle's.

I do think Lavaou is an upgrade inside as a pass blocker.

Are there anymore scary edge rushers in the NFCE?? RT should be okay with who the SKins have now(Polumbus).

A lot of talk about how bad the line was but PFF ranked them 5th in the league.

The skins O-line was built for Shanny, elite run blocking, small and terrible pass blockers.

Desean Jackson does not make that group one of the best WR core in the league.

I think it tells you that the average fan is an idiot and assumes the line broke down no matter how much time the QB had to throw. RG3 was charged with the responsibility for ten sacks last season. He led the team in sacks allowed. Another part of the ranking is that they were 3rd-best in NOT being penalized.

...and yeah, they had the running lanes there like every Shanny line, ever.

Gruden will hold the offense back more then he helps it. I thought the Bengals were going to be stuck with him, but somehow he tricked Washington into thinking he would be a good coach. Their Defense will be terrible and Gruden offense won't be able to carry the team. I give him at most 3 years in Washington unless the defense improves and it is able to carry the team.

Maybe not THE best.

But potentially one of the best?? Sure.

On paper it's the best WR unit including Jordan Reed in the NFCE.

Tyler Eifert wasn't used exclusively as a FB last season. And I expect Gruden to have Helu on the field for significant snaps because he's faster and a better WR than Morris.

No he won't play Moss over Garcon.lol

And the only way an OC refuses to throw the ball deep is by not having WRs run beyond 30 yards. I think the lack of deep throws was more Andy Dalton than Gruden.

This offense is setup talent-wise to go long.

Eifert was used as a FB more then he lined up as a TE. Nvm then if Helu is faster then Morris then he will use the less talented one.

Sanu was played more then Marvin Jones half the year. He perfers to use multiple #2's then one.

No he refused to throw it deep because he runs too much of a West Coast offense and prefers the short routes and let the receivers get YAC. Even if Dalton does not have the arm RGIII does we have AJ Green that can pretty much catch anything near him. Even when John Skelton who has a arm was playing in preseason he rarely went deep with him.

Does not matter how much talent you have Gruden will use it wrong the Bengals had Bernard, Marvin Jones, AJ Green, Jermaine Greshm, and Tyler Eifert and still struggled to score points at times. The main reason Gruden will fail is he is stubborn and won't make adjustments with his offense during the game and stick with the game plan even if his offense is struggling and he will point he QB's in bad situation and refuse to run the ball a times.

Garcon and DJax are fast, but they are lacking in size.

If the Giants, Eagles or Cowboys draft Calvin Pryor. He will demolish them.

Pryor can't run. If he has to cover any NFL WR more than 20 yards downfield he's in trouble.

Remember how Desean Jackson burned Laron Landry a few seasons ago on a deep post pattern to start the game?? The same LL who runs a 4.35??

Pryor is even more a liability in coverage. Strictly an in the box safety at the next level.

If the Washington offense is good the majority of that will be down to RG3. If the Washington offense is bad the majority of that will be down to RG3. The problem with the Bengals offense wasn't Jay Gruden, it was that Andy Dalton sucks.

Witten is how old?? 40? He's a possession TE who can't stretch the field, if he ever could.

Jackson/Roberts/Garcon/Reed(TE) are better than Witten/Dez/Williams.

On paper.

The Skins have had several personnel groupings over the years that were supposed to be good but never ended up that way.

It won't matter if RG3 can't go through his progressions and read defenses.
