All of those possibilities are worlds more likely for him than they are with an average player.
If you don't see him as an enormous risk, I don't know what to tell you. You're not able to take off the fan-tinted glasses when you look at him. If the Niners give him a fair-market extension, they're going to get deep-dicked right in the hindquarters.
Okay, because you didn't initially say that when you first quoted me. You said "I'm just throwing this out there" and painted a specific scenario of Aldon killing himself via a drunk driving car accident and went on to talk about the ramifications money wise for the team in that very specific scenario.
And I never said or implied he wasn't a risk. I am saying that for the sake of value to one's own football team, if you're going to get rid of him, do it at the best possible time. Right now wouldn't be that time if he's only going to fetch a 2nd round pick. You might as well keep him, even if he ends up sitting out an entire year. Then trade him after that looming cloud has come and gone if it arrives.
And this has nothing to do with my view as a 49ers fan. There is no bias. I'm not sure where you thought I was waving the banner in this discussion.
