I think that Ra'shede Hageman and Stephon Tuitt are higher on NFL boards than they are on the media sites. The media seems to like to downgrade guys based on mental or emotional things. I think GMs who have confidence in their locker room and coaches will take these guys higher than we think.

You can motivate someone. You cannot teach them to be 6'6" 300lbs and freaksihly athletic. Both of these guys could have low floors, which the media looks more at, but they also have nothing stopping them from being dominant players.
and to be more specific, I bet that Tuitt is substantially higher than Hageman on most boards. His 2012 tape is ridiculous and he's 3 years younger. Hageman doesn't have any great tape really. Not a full year's worth for sure.

Tell us your full breakdown of Boyd and how he is superior to Manziel in everything that matters.....

I will wait.

I think that Calvin Pryor will go ahead of HCD which would be a surprise based on media talk.

I think Pryor is a natural born playmaker who is simply around the ball.

His pocket movement is much more suited to NFL success than Manziel's. People keep comparing Manziel to Russell Wilson when in reality Boyd is actually a much more apt comparison. Manziel has a more accurate arm, I won't deny that. Other than that, they match up pretty equally.

Tajh Boyd's accuracy is just awful at times. IMO he's just a great college player who won't translate to the NFL at all. That offense didn't ask him to do much of anything required to play in the NFL. Manziel may not have had to make tough reads but at least he had to make some NFL throws. I haven't seen the actual data but I have to assume that Boyd threw screens and short passes almost as regularly as Derek Carr.

Tajh Boyd is like Manziel if you took away his accuracy and his elusiveness. There's not much left after that.

Go watch Boyd's Junior year when he still had Hopkpins. He was making a lot of NFL throws. That said I agree with the bolded part 110%, as it applies to BOTH players.

All Boyd is, is a slightly poor man's Manziel

Brett Smith from Wyoming is a rich mans Manziel

This is just so wrong. Brett Smith has god awful mechanics that make Manziel look like Peyton Manning by comparison. He has the happiest feet I think I've ever seen in a QB. His decision making is atrocious at times as well. On top of all that he has marginal arm strength. He's like a rawer version of Manziel without the upside.

Tajh has a much better arm and throws a much better ball. His release is also much quicker. His pocket presence movement is far superior and actually useful at the next level. He ran a bad time (for him) at the combine and all of a sudden he's not elusive or mobile...

Boyd isn't without issues, but there's a comparison here and he just dominates it.

Isn't it your job to keep these threads somewhat coherant as we approach draft day. It's almost getting absurd in here.

Clowney for sure. The media wants to debate his effort level but teams are drooling over those tools. Clowney being lazy still can be a 12 sack guy.

Lol Tajh Boyd. He was a great college guy but will struggle to even be a back up. He did nothing to get me to like him at the Senior bowl.

Dri Archer. I'm predicting him getting drafted to the Eagles. Scouts have always been comparing him to DeSean Jackson and now that he's no longer in Philly, Chip Kelly won't pass up on his opportunity to draft Archer. That leads me to believe he'll be taken with the 86th pick in the draft.

How does every thread turn into a Johnny Manziel **** show?

Anyway, I'm going to throw Tevin Reese, Jerick McKinnon, and Mo Alexander in as maybes.

They each have question marks, but they each have a lot to like about their games. Wouldn't be surprised to see any or all go sooner than expected.

Tom Savage should apparently get a mention.

If this continues he will go #1 in 3 weeks.

Anyway, I'm going to throw Tevin Reese, Jerick McKinnon, and Mo Alexander in as maybes.

They each have question marks, but they each have a lot to like about their games. Wouldn't be surprised to see any or all go sooner than expected.
Not that I generally respect what Skip Bayless says, but I've heard him say a few times now that Manziel might be the most polarizing prospect of all time. There's some truth to that.

I like Mckinnon.

I think Derek Carr is probably THE guy who's higher on team's boards than the media's. I'm still undecided on him myself, but I think teams really like him. He threw a ton of screen passes and the like in college, but I think after getting a closer look at him team's have realized he has the best arm talent in this draft. He's also a much better athlete than a lot of people realized. He seems to be getting positive reviews in terms of his character and I think his brother is actually a positive for him. David didn't work out for a #1 pick, for a lot of reasons, but he's always been a consummate professional. Ridiculous production as well. 50 TDs and 8 picks is nothing to scoff at.
