Snowmobiling

just wondering if anyone here snowmobiles.

cause i do and i think everyone should.

One of the only fun things I enjoy in the winter.

I use to have a site with some sweet videos. Something like snowpron or something.

Once it gets below about 60 it gets too cold for me which is why I live in the South.

Eventhough it snows here it doesnt snow enough to own a snow mobile. We ride 4 wheelers in the snow though.

snowmobiling is so awsome I hate snowboarding. All my friends are like dude lets go to the slopes, dude no I'm goin to the river. I got a polaris Pro X-2 800, most fun snowmobile I've ever riden, my dad wants to get rid of it before it racks up too many miles so I diconected the speedo cable and told him it broke. I can't wait to ride wooo hooo.

I personally don't but a lot of people around me do. And this may be just where I live but it seems like a lot of the people are starting to shift towards stuff like ATV's because we'll be lucky up here if we have 3 or 4 weeks where snowmobiling is an option so they are going for the more year round activity.

i hate snowmobiles. the idiot yahoos who ride them in colorado are almost entirely responsible (since many of them also appear to ride their moronic four wheelers in the summer) for killing the environment in this state.

but hey, might as well get behind a gas guzzling motor and tear around the "wilderness". :roll:

i can't think of anything lamer (and yes, i have actually gone and more than once).

I like them they are fun... jetskis are more fun imo but most of the people that ride them are ridiculous and do not care if they injure or kill themselves or other people they just want a rush...

I have never seen snow, so I excluded from snow mobiling. Is it like water skiing or completely different?

Snowmobiling is pretty fun, I had a friend who had a bunch of snowmobiles that I would ride with back when I lived in WI. My dad decided to get me & my brother a snomobile one year so he came home wiith this 1960's looking John Deere that he got for like $80. That's the only snowmobile I've ever owned. The thing completely sucked, you couldn't make a turn going more than 3 MPH without it tipping, and everytime I got a few miles out on the bay behind our house it would break down and I'd have to walk back. :?

Snow boarding was by far my favorite winter activity though.

cough tree huger cough. because snowmobiling is amazing, whats better then flyin around fresh powder havin all of it disperse behind you when your going 100 MPH, second off if your going 20 MPH you dont need skill but then again if ur goin 20 you wont have fun either. sounds to me like someone is a little scared to open it up. if your scared man just go to church. also they dont do anymore damage to the environment then cars, infact their alot more fuel efficient then cars.

tee hee. it's cute when people have no idea what they're talking about.

they're actually far worse for the environment in its current state than cars are. they carve up the national forest because you folks aren't talented enough to steer between trees, so you get them cut down. fwiw, if an animal needs 100 sq mi. to survive, and you cut it's environment down to a bunch of small 1 sq mi pieces, the animal will not survive.

but hey, what would a 12 year old care about that?

more, i'm really not a tree hugger. but i also don't have to compensate for anything with loud noise and big motors, so maybe i really don't get where you're coming from.

yeah. boy, 100mph. that's "cool". yeah. please, strap on a snowboard or skis (your pick) and hit a downhill course. i'll take my 60mph on my own feet where it takes some moderate degree of skill to not die over sitting on a loud machine that goes fast because i push a button.

but hey, i admire your ability to not actually put any effort in. that's cool.
