if Hendo beats Rampage do you think he will drop down to middleweight and try to get a 4th belt

He wrestled at the olympics at 181 pounds, and middleweight is 185, so I think he will be able to make the cut to 185 for middleweight.

it wasn't even that clean of a hit. and someone said he looked good until that hit... i don't think he did. He came out swinging like a mad man no defense at all.

that whole stretcher and neck brace was over exaggerated though, he was trying to get up while they were carrying him away but they didn't let him.

The guy to watch on this card is Urijah "the california Kid" Faber. He is a force at 140 and if Dana ever opens the weightclass up in the UFC this kid could be a nightmare for opponents, unless of course they brought over Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto, in that case Faber would get owned hard. Mark Hominick is the other recognizable name on this card and he has been rather dissapointing after his win against Yves Edwards but I expect him to rebound and either sub or KO the guy hes fighting tonight.

Faber is a Beast, Sactown represent!

Urijah Faber could easily compete in the lightweight division in the UFC, couldnt he Charm? And do you know how lucrative the WEC is? What is keeping him there, the competition looked mediocre at best.

I believe WEC is owned by the UFC. The problem with faber is hes a natural 140 fighter. I think if/when the UFC opens up that division is when they would bring him over. It's only a matter of time befor Faber is in the UFC.

Ya, I was wondering why Big John and Herb Dean were the refs. It seems that Zuffa owns WEC, and is using it as a type of "farm system" for the UFC. WEC also showcases talent in the lighter weight classes - including the 133 lb bantamweight class. That is great business strategy for Zuffa, now they have network deals with Spike and VS.

Yeah I like to look at it that way also. I think guys like Carlos Condit and Faber could make their UFC debuts sooner than later. The WEC gives them a place to hone in their skills.

Speaking of Vs. has anyone watched that Tapout show? Its pretty cool, the guys are strange but its cool to have another MMA reality show. That guy Damasio Page that was on there last week is vicious to say the least. He could be in WEC soon fighting at 140.

I dont think anyone else in the WEC will fight Faber, so he'll have to move to the UFC. Plus he's super marketable and a real likeable kid, he's just a bulldog in the cage- a real crowd pleaser.

I watched some of that show but the tapout guys are weird, the mask gimmick has got to go. I cant believe hes able to do business like that. That guy Page is ferocious, I almost like watching the smaller guys fight more.

UFC hasn't really tried to market any smaller guys since they brought back the lightweight division, which is a big mistake. They need to make it so that people actually know the Lightweight's are fighting. Maybe they did it because the lack of lightweight talent in the UFC at the time but they now have a ton of talent available to them and should really start to push the division.

On another note, where the hell is Sean Sherk? Does he still have the belt? When's he fighting next? I haven't seen him in ages.

Sherk defends his belt against Hermes Franca at UFC 72. This will be a pretty monster card, It features these fights...

Franca vs Sherk Title fight
Anderson Silva vs Nate Marquardt MW Title fight
Rashad Evans vs Tito Ortiz
