Top 3 players you WANT the Cowboys to draft
I'll say a toss up between
Marshawn Lynch
Reggie Nelson
Alan Branch

I doubted the fact that we were interested in Merriweather because of his character concerns... all the way up to the night before the draft when Matt Mosely released his article about us seriously being interested in him. At that point, realizing the fact that we were going after Merriweather told me full well that Jerry was back in charge and Ireland was not very influential. Ireland was molded by Parcells and Parcells valued high character players over talent. Jerry's philosophy was reversed... talent trumps character concerns.
So going into this offseason, I'm thinking that Pacman could really end up playing for the Cowboys next season if his situation is clear up by the NFL. Also, players in the draft with character concerns are not being totally discounted.
I'm still pleased with my top 3 players that I wanted last year... Lynch, Nelson, Branch. We ended up not being able to select any of them, but I really wish we had a chance at Nelson. Loved him as a draft prospect.

Yeah, not drafting McCauley was bone headed.
I like Marten pretty good, but with him, Free, and McQ all projecting the same, McCauley woulda been a much better pick.

I wanted Bowe the most at that time, which would have been a good pick. Year before that, I wanted Cromartie, which would have been nice, as well.

McCauley was a stud in MN...and played way more than he shoulda in year one since winfield went down...not to mention he already has a place in history...Driver's catch from farve to break the TD record. :P
