Default A couple Falcon mocks based on GOSSELIN's rankings

#8 – Adam Carriker

#39 – Justin Blaylock

#44 – Steve Smith

#75 – Brian Leonard

If for some reason New England wants to move up to #8 and we go to # 24 and #28 from #8 then it could look like this

#24 – Michael Griffin

#28 – Justin Harrell / Alan Branch

#39 – Justin Blaylock

#44 – Steve Smith

#75 – Brian Leonard

The second seems much more intriguing to me.

why Steve Smith? If not Calvin, I don't think the Falcons will need a WR that early. He can't solve the Falcons problem of not having a #1 WR. And Griffin is a SS. The Falcons desperately needs a FS.

I disagree. I think that Steve Smith would be a great addition and right now what we need is a WR who can catch the ball Joe Horn I think is capable of being a #1 this year and I think that Smith was overlooked at USC because of Jarrett's size. But his route running is a lot cleaner and he catches the ball away from his body more effectively. As far as Griffin goes, I think he's the perfect blend for a Safety, he's more than capable in coverage, but he'll knock your head off, plus on ST he's a MONSTER, like BIG time freak on ST.

I think he's a lot like Brian Dawkins the more I watch of him, he's an enforcer but he'll still break up the pass plays and knock the ball down. I'd be estatic with him on our roster.

I would rather get Rhema Mcknight in the 6th. He is very underrated and was much better than Samardzja at ND until he was injured then he came back and had a great year last year. I would stay away from Steve Smith.

As far as Griffin goes, I like him but just think that he doesn't answer our problems as of now. Someone like Reggie Nelson, Brandan Merweather, etc are true FS. Landry, Griffin, Weddle are all tweeners that can play the FS but are hitters first.

I dont think we should take a WR besides Calvin Johnson on the first day because we have plenty of young recievers already. I realize that Roddy White has been a disapointment, but Michael Jenkins is solid and I think they will both improve under the guidance of Joe Horn.
